I was waiting for a cheap second-hand ticket for one of the Fontaines D.C. shows here, then stopped looking when they canceled some shows and assumed they wouldn't be in top shape. But now I'm watching clips of the crowd during those shows and realizing I majorly fucked up by not going. I think much of this run sold out, and the album is still very new, so fingers crossed for another run through, even as an Oasis opener or whatever (Liam bashing them recently is the best possibly press for that).
They were fantastic in LA. I'm hoping they will be back around for Fest season next year.
something from the UK wouldn't make sense because they've struggled in the US in the past so getting a band that sells tix here makes much more sense. Cage does a lot more for fans here than like Kasabian, Blossoms, Manic Street Preachers, etc.

I'd take Lodge Room and Masonic Lodge over the Fonda
Thats diff size venues though. Who isnt gonna say they dont like a place that holds 150 people over the 1200 one. You could get specific if you want too. I mean The Orpheum is the best seated theater in the city for example.
At least, I got to hear Liam sing so many of those songs six years ago when his voice was in better shape than it is now. I'm sure that I got more out of being 10 rows back or so in a smaller venue than I'd get in the nosebleeds at Gillette.

"Unfortunately, the Ebo Taylor and Pat Thomas tour will be postponed. We apologize for any frustration this may cause. There are issues obtaining visas for many travelers worldwide and believe we will have this completely sorted by the the new concert dates. Ebo Taylor and his family have decided to make this tour his official farewell to the Americas. This will be our final opportunity to honor the legendary maestro, the pioneer of highlife and father of Afrobeat, and give him his flowers. If you've already purchased tickets - Your current tickets remain valid for the new date, and no further action is required—just hang on to them! If you have any questions or need assistance with ticket options, feel free to reach out to your point of purchase. If you have not yet purchased tickets, please see dates and cities below. We would love for you to join us and be a part of this very historic moment when Ebo Taylor, one of Africa's most influential, artists, says his farewell to the Americas."

It's a trip to me that so many people love Vampire Weekend. I was able to tolerate a few minutes of the show at Jazz Fest, but they aren't for me. However, I'll have to probably be back in New Orleans late March for EITS. You can sign up for the artist presale at their website, but Live Nation Presale is tomorrow ("TEMPO") @ 8:00am local time. General onsale is Friday @ 10:00 via Ticketmaster for select dates and their website for the rest.
