I think a Smiths reunion would be pretty huge in America, isn't Morissey really popular with the Spanish speaking community here? They also had an aesthetic that seems primed to trend on tiktok
Yeah which means they could do a couple of stadium nights in La easily. 3 nights at Azteca too.
Not saying The Smiths would be the most popular reunion among the acts everyone is listing, but there's probably a higher number of people who would see a limited run Smiths reunion and think "I must find a way to get to one of these show or else I'm gonna die."
so for anyone in this thread, what reunion would this be for y'all?
probably daft punk and talking heads to me. especially if it was a double bill.

Okay, but has anyone in The Verve gotten a divorce recently and do they hate each other more than the Gallaghers to turn down money for another reunion?

Do you want to dance while also thinking about all the ways you've failed as a human?

If Jack and Meg ever got back together, I'd follow them around like it was the fucking Dead in '72-74. The chemistry and spontaneity of the White Stripes live was magic.

same, Daft Punk definitely higher up than Talking Heads but theyre easily #2. Rage #3 (pissed as fuck that i missed this reunion since i thought theyd pop up at BC or Coachella.) OutKast #4. This is rather niche but the #5 and #6 would be Snowing and Carissa’s Wierd. Especially annoyed that Snowing reunited and broke up just before i got really into them. oh and als
Thinking about it now, most of the other holy shit reunions/returns/debuts ive wanted ive gotten to see. Like Codeine, Pavement, Frank Ocean, Jai Paul, Sunny Day Real Estate, American Football, Slowdive etc. Then Duster I’m seeing for the first time later in the year

Talking Heads and REM for me. I was lucky enough to see Daft Punk 3 times so as cool as it would be to see them again, I'd rather have the chance to see Talking Heads for the first time and REM for the second. 10 years ago The Smiths would have been on this list but Moz had really soured things a bit.

Honestly, probably Oasis lol.
Daft Punk of course and while it technically wouldn't be a reunion, if Sade were to announce a tour I would do everything in my power to be there.

White Stripes, Oasis and Daft Punk are all up there. Had the worst FOMO of my life watching people getting to see Rage while the El Paso show I had tickets to for three years ended up getting cancelled. On a personal level, Turnpike Troubadours reuniting was huge for me and I don't think they've ever been better than they are right now.

Don't even start about RATM. Had tickets for 2 fucking years just for some asshole to throw a water bottle on stage 2 shows in. I would kill that person to bring RATM back.
Zeppelin would have been my answer up until a few years ago but Plant is very old now. He's even phoning in the Allison Krauss shows these days.
Daft Punk would be the most insane secondary market just due to the convergence of music nerds, casuals, and EDM bros. Talking Heads would probably be up there too since nobody has had a chance to see them in 35 years.
Oasis would be my answer and I will definitely pay good money to get in (although I am optimistic on the USA not being an insane secondary market). I grew up in England from 1993-1997 but I was only 12 years old when we moved, so while that era shaped me as a person, unfortunately I was still a few years too young to attend concerts (and we lived in rural England). I did get to go to some amazing footy matches though, 80k people singing Don't Look Back in Anger at halftime of an England World Cup qualifier in 1997 will forever be my happy place.
Rage 3.0 was the textbook example of some things being better left in the past. I can't even blame all of it on Zach and the injury. The show I went to felt cashgrabby and kind of lifeless.
The original run was amazing and the 07/08 shows were still incredible. The last run made me sad and made me accept my impending boomerdom.
