With a new album in the works and festival dates already scheduled, there's no reason for Josh Homme to not come do what he does on the farm. Could you imagine a LN set?! It's a match made in musical heaven...

My knowledge of these guys starts and ends with the song "no one knows," but people seem to really love them, so I'd be down
When I first seen them, they were opening for RHCP (2005 maybe?). The only song I knew from them then was No One Knows, but I really enjoyed their set. I agree with mitchel too, I think a dusk set would be optimal for them.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. This would be so much pure awesomeness.
Oh, and Songs for the Deaf is clearly the best. Such an amazing album. Josh Homme, Nick Oliveri, and Dave Grohl was the best rock band lineup of last decade.

Didn't live up to the sum of it's parts in my opinion.
I don't know why everyone thinks this. Once they got into a groove, they put on some of the best live shows I've ever heard. I can't wait for the second album (After new QOTSA this year, of course)

I really wanted to see them on the lineup this year, so I would be all for them next year. As others have said, either a late night spot or the spot MMJ had this year would be perfect.

^^agreed. Somehow, some way, one of the greatest drummers of the past 20 years got together with the bassist from Led fucking Zeppelin... and managed to make what was basically another Queens of the Stone Age album.
Them Crooked Vultures was easily the best set of Coachella 10 for me. They were so fvcking powerful live! Those who haven't gotten into them start with the songs "Scumbag Blues" and "No One Loves Me and Neither Do I". Be sure to turn it up...
Glad to see all of this support for QOTSA by the way!

It's been a number of years since I last saw them and would be cool experience to repeat on but I also gotta second the Them Crooked Vultures comment above me as well.
So I'm guessing that Kyuss Lives! tour won't be happening...
"Nick Oliveri, the former bassist for Queens of the Stone Age and current low ender for Kyuss Lives!, was arrested on Tuesday after a five-hour standoff with a S.W.A.T. team at his Hollywood home, the Los Angeles Times reports.
TMZ reports that the incident began with an argument Oliveri and his girlfriend had on Monday, during which the rocker struck her. She left but returned Tuesday to gather her belongings and move out when the two started arguing again. A neighbor called 911 to report a disturbance and the 39-year-old Oliveri locked himself and his girlfriend inside the apartment.
When police arrived Oliveri wouldn't let his girlfriend leave. A S.W.A.T. Team was called and a standoff ensued until Oliveri released his girlfriend and later gave himself up without incident. The police found a loaded rifle inside the house.
Oliveri was booked on felony domestic violence charges. He was released after posting $100,000 bail."

^ This, just after the bassist for Coheed & Cambria held up a pharmacy for Oxy's on his way to open for Soundgarden. Gotta love these wacky bass players.
