...and how do you explain your apparent belief that Master-P, Twista, Drake and Bone Thugs constitute good hip-hop? You can't really deride Kanye as auto-tune garbage and then express your desire to see Aubrey on the farm.
Because in my opinion they are. Master P is largely responsible for putting the South on the map. The only other person you can give credit to was DJ Screw. Twista & Bone Thugs, that is classic music from when I was in middle school - I grew up with it and I'll always put them in my favorites list. Drake isn't a favorite but it is something I'd rather hear than Kanye... And he plays with autotune - but the man CAN actually sing and he mainly uses it to polish specific areas of a song - not use it to carry the entire damn song like Kanye!
I didn't start the thread...Kanye f'ed over Bonnaroo and you don't forgive it and I will remind anyone who forgets it. Yes, I joined in 07 but I've been doing this since 05 - pay attention to what exactly since 08?
I vehemently opposed Eminem and Lil Wayne's additions this year and I, like many of you, was proven right.
Wayne's show was a trainwreck, Em's show was entertaining but 75% lipsynced.
Kanye, like Jay-Z, is a PERFORMER not a stooge propped up by a band/screen/dancers/pyrotechnics. I'm fully aware of the bad blood but time heals all wounds and I hope so badly he makes it down next year.
Devin the Dude, Tyler the Creator, Scarface, Z-Ro, Trae, Luda, Jeezy, Master P, Eazy-E, Drake, Twista, DoD, Push for a Bone Reunion - Why bring out the guy who makes radio auto-tuned music? (Kanye)
You're kidding, right? I think the bolded portion tells us all we need to know about you and hip-hop.
not to mention Bone plays shows all the time. Pretty sure theyve played Pittsburgh 4 times just this past year.

I don't really care about this argument so I skipped straight until the end. What do you think of the new song Juggs/other people that don't have shitty opinions? Totally hope the next Kanye album goes back to that sound.

Yeah I can't place any of the samples, but it sounds like it. Def a more CD/LR vibe to it. Good song but definitely wouldn't have fit on MDBTF. So that's left me hoping that WTT has classic Kanye production on it.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Yeah it was either produced by Q-Tip or Soulja iirc, but that doesn't change the point that the vibe of the song doesn't fit with his last project. And that's what has me hoping that his newest project is going to have that vibe. Could you imagine a focused Jay and Kanye over Blueprint/CD style beats? The thought of that has me wetting my pants.
Just wondering was anyone here at the Glow in The Dark tour? You do realize the reason he was so late was because it took a long time to set up the stage. Not to mention Pearl Jam went over.
I never got to see the Glow in The Dark tour but my friend who has been to easily 100 shows including Jay-Z's set at Roo last year and then again for Home and Home said the Glow in the Dark tour was the greatest thing he's ever seen.
I mean I'd be pissed too had I been there and he was that late, but it was due to building the set, trying to give everyone the best show he could. Things just didn't go to plan.

i'm definitely in for some kanye in any form... missed him at lolla 08' for a killer nine inch nails lights in the sky set, but would have loved to split myself in half for those shows

Seriously just lock this thread. If you hated another rapper's set (like the nay-sayers of Eminem lip-syncing), just remember that it could've been worse. You could've waited 4 hours for that to happen.
For a group that espouses good vibes and loving thy neighbor and stuff as much as you faux hippy jam people, you need to get over some shizzle. Bob Weir could show up three hours late and piss in your oatmeal and you'd still jizz everywhere.

Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
kayne was good at coachella and i'm sure he'll be good at ACL in september. mdtf was def one of the best albums of last year.
honestly, my biggest problem wasn't that he was late. it was that they didn't tell us the amount he would truly be late and that he didn't even address the crowd once, when he finally came out.
that said, i'm over it.
BUT
is he???? remember that crazy ass blog entry he wrote IN ALL CAPS??? they might have to shell out some ridiculous amount to even get him to consider coming back if he holds a grudge or something.
