My cousin and I have a pair of VIP tickets with one parking pass. I'm coming in Thurs but he can't get there til Friday late morning. I know he won't be able to park in VIP (unless we find a second pass), but will he be able to park in GA camping or day parking? He just needs to get in the venue - needs to leave around 2pm Sun. Also would be interested if anyone has a VIP parking pass they don't need (not looking to spend a lot of extra $).

The car with the parking pass can exit and re-enter VIP at any time. So, you can exit and bring him in the venue...leaving his car outside. then take him to his car around 2pm Sunday and re-enter yourself. or he can park his car inside the venue at day parking and enter VIP on foot.
Thanks for the replies. Do they check day parking for overnight parkers? I guess parking outside the farm (near VIP entrance) is an option, but just not sure where we could find a secure spot.
I could be wrong, but from what I have seen they don't really clear out the Day Parking. I don't think there is a problem leaving your car unattended there all weekend. I have to leave early on Sunday, so I think I will end up leaving my car there and dragging my stuff to tent only.

YOU will be able to walk from the VIP area to the GA area. Not sure if you can drive there.
As much as it kills me, our plan would be to bypass the VIP area entirely and enter the grounds at the GA entrance....question is can we go through the GA entrance with a VIP parking pass. Stands to reason we should be able to downgrade but want to make sure!
Swap (or quickly sell) your VIP for a now-cheap GA - - why waste the money and the VIP parking pass? Your friends won't be able to join you for VIP anything....
Sorry to resurrect this thread but I have this question and it doesn't seem to be exactly answered. I got a free upgrade to VIP but still plan on camping in TO with my group. I will definitely use the VIP amenities but have no need to actually park or camp in VIP. Can I come in with my group through GA tollbooths when gates open or do I have to wait until 8AM Thursday and go in through VIP tollbooth?

You should be able to enter the GA campgrounds on Wednesday with everyone else. You just won't have access to the VIP area until 8 am Thursday.
