Last year it was "Sold Out" and there was plenty room for more people. In fact VIP was smaller then the prior year. I think one of the reasons for calling a event sold out is do to logistics. They need to have final numbers for the vendors that supply a event such as this. Not to mention distribution of wristbands and information.

Good. One of the reason's we are going vip this year is for less line wait, more room, amenities, etc. I hope that I did not pay all of that money just to be packed in like GA. I'm too old for that.

i don't recall the roo being sold out this far in advance... yet. i missed year one and i may or may not have been to intoxicated to remember those after, but am i wrong?
Sorry deadchick, that wasn't directed at you at all. I'm just wondering where all the obsession with attendance numbers comes from. Everyone seems concerned with final number totals, like it's a "guess how many jelly beans are in the roo-jar contest." Every year the answer remains: a fuckload.

23 k in VIP? That seems like a whole lot of people in that space. The reason why I asked about vip capacity is to try and get a sense of how crowded/ overcrowded a sold out VIP might feel. I was in VIP in 2010 and 2009 and it did not sell out either time and the field seemed about half full with ( I'm guessing) about 2000 people in it. So if they sell 23,000 VIP and put them in that same size field I am scared that it is is going to feel like wall to wall people. Dr teeth are you sure you have that number right? If so, yikes! In any case, thank you all for your feedback.
The last time I saw a number from a source I trusted the VIP number was 5000 but that was 3 years ago. I doubt it has gone down if anything it may have gone up some since then.

Since they measure out the spots its not bad....the map that was sent out today looks very similar to 2010 so i'm guessing it will be right around the same number as last year
