Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Personally if we did not own a RV already I would go VIP and bring a tent.
You can always visit them in the General Admission area if you like.
With your friends RV you will be limited in the length of time you can take a shower due to the amount of water he/she has. In VIP you can take as many showers and for how ever long you want to.
Thursday night food and drink party. Great way to start the weekend.
That's a tough one. Are the RVs in GA pretty close to Centeroo? If so, I don't know that I'd pass up the air conditioning. I've only ever done VIP tent, but going the VIP RV route this year (woot!).
Hmmm....I've done both. GA RV and VIP tent. Hard call actually...depends on what is more important. Regular GA RV is NOT close to Centeroo...about a 10-15 minute walk the first year I went. If you have Access pass then I would DEFINITELY do the RV! Worth it just for convenience of bathroom facilities and air conditioning!
If you are used to the heat and AC is not a MUST...VIP is great! Bring battery fans, and the restrooms have AC AND Cold Water! And close to pop back and forth into Centeroo.
Go VIP. We brought an RV into GA last year after going VIP in '09. HUGE mistake!!! On the Broo web site they talk about water re-fills and tank emptying for a fee. We got water once and black water clean out once...BOTH Sunday afternoon!! We had to use the porta johns the whole weekend. we rationed our water so we could BARELY get washed off each day. Whatever the cost savings is we spent it on stress over having a FULL black water tank.
This year we're bringing a pop-up camper with an a/c unit on top. I found a cheap, quiet generator and I'll have 0 stress...

Wow, sounds like we were neighbors. We had the same issues and will NEVER rent an RV there again. We're bringing our own RV rental this year from KY. You guys have the most important ingredient - A/C.
Sounds like results vary....if you HAVE to HAVE AC I say GA RV is the way to go....if you can live without it for the most part except for seeking it out...then VIP should be the choice!

Just got an e-mail from Bonnaroo, and now I'm feeling all nostalgic. I never thanked the people that helped us decide to go to Bonnaroo and do VIP Camping. We met the best people there, who we still talk to regularly. Us from Canada and them from Louisiana and Alabama. Ben and Jerry funny enough. Anyway, my girlfriend and I are now engaged to be married this Summer, and this trip was the beginning of our relationship. Thanks to everyone...we're planning our next trip now!

I have done both and if I had the choice again I would 100% go with GA RV. It is so nice to stay up every night until sunrise without the dread of knowing you may get no sleep.
Never done VIP, but I did GA RV this year and what CKS says is right. You can sleep whenever the hell ya want.
You can sleep the other 361 days of the year
Sleep allows you to enjoy the rest of the days of music... I don't know about you but I've had a few literally sleepless nights at Bonnaroo, and it does not bode well for the following day's scheduled plans.
I've been thinking long and hard on this very issue for months, and now that the lineup has been released, decision time is upon me.
And I have opted to go VIP. I have done VIP before, but never RV, and was heavily considering RV pretty much only for the AC and sleep-ability factor. However, I realized that even without air-conditioned sleep quarters, VIP is pretty much impossible to beat. The guaranteed close Centeroo proximity, the no line factor, the Which pit, the AC lounges in Centeroo, the air-conditioned and CLEAN bathrooms, the Thursday party -- I could go on. These amenities are too sweet for me to part with just for a good night's sleep. But when I have the cash, VIP RV is DEFINITELY something I could see myself springing for.
Its looking like RV for me this year. Think I may be buying one. May be looking for a couple of people to offset the cost of gas/RV pass. Inbox me if you have some interest. Haven't finalized the deal yet - so its not 100% but Im doing a lot to make it happen.
