Comedian Gilbert Gottfried is known for his raunchiness and willing to push envelopes - often too soon and too far; as such, he is considered something of a comedian's comedian. I'm left wondering whether AFLAC is really surprised, given that this man is credited with making first public post-9/11 joke. Gottfried was fired by AFLAC yesterday, and his since issued an official apology in addition to removing the offensive tweets. Considering his style of comedy, this will probably be better for his career than aflac commercials. He should open for Charlie sheen, that would be epic.
I personally would love to see Gilbert paired up in a comedy showcase with either Don Rickles or Bob Saget - perhaps an Aristocrats showcase?
Jess, how often do you visit the comedy tent under normal conditions? I would imagine one off-putting comedian isn't enough to sink anyone's Bonnaroo plans.

I completely agree that the comments are in bad taste, but it's Gilbert Gottfried. Like said above, he did make the first public 9/11 joke. I would hope no one would ever really take him serious.
