Just pulled the trigger on a pair of VIP tickets after four straight years of GA camping. I was worried about losing out on part of the Bonnaroo "experience" by camping VIP, but I figured after four years, it's time to spice it up. If nothing else, it is a way to make Bonnaroo seem totally fresh once again.
Is this your first year going VIP? If so, what are you most excited about?
I gotta say, I think I'm most excited about not waiting in line on Thursday. That is gonna be fuckin sweet.

This will be my 6th Bonnaroo and 1st VIP. I could not ever manage to justify spending that much money on it, but I've come around and think it will be worth it.
I am ultra excited about no traffic, seeing as I live in Nashville and took 8 hours to get in last year
I am really most excited about getting to camp with a bunch of people that I already know and just being closer to everything.
Just placed our order with the RV Pass. This will be our fifth year going and all of them have been in VIP. To us this is a vacation and we are willing to pay for the perks that come with VIP. Here is how I look at it. Round numbers $1,600 for tickets with RV pass and fees. Divide that between the two of us, $800 per ... the divide that by the four days, $200 per person per day.
Now we all have been to concerts, what is a ticket with fees? Close to $100 per person? And for us we drive in to New York City to see concerts. Tolls, Parking... We can have a $250 bill just to see one show..
Now we will use around $700 on fuel for the motorhome, but then again how much does it cost to fly two people ? Then hotel..
I don't count food, we pack most and also patronize the food vendors when we are there.
Just follow the enclosed directions. At first it did not make sense but they worked wonderfully.
Good luck with your first time going VIP, you will not be disappointed.
Most excited about? Feeling immune to the weather and showering whenever I want. I'm just getting too old to go 3 days without sleep like I did last year. I almost had to hit the medical tent because my body could not cool down. We live in the mtns and never have to deal with heat like that. Knowing I can take a cold shower or jump into AC whenever I need to is comforting.
ALSO -- it's my wife's 1st music festival ever, so I want her to have as easy an adjustment as possible.
This is going to be my 6th roo and first time going VIP as well. And I'm super f'ing psyched about it, needless to say.
As long as you can afford it VIP seems like a no brainer to me at this point. Definitely most excited about dodging the line on Thursday and the dedicated centeroo entrances.
Question for the VIP veterans: We're going to be driving down in an RV with a mix of VIP and GA ticket holders. The GA peeps are planning on setting up their camp in tent only. Has anyone does this before? I was hoping that we could drop the GA'ers off at the gate before rolling into VIP land. Any experience with that type of situation?.
I'm not sure where a gate close to the VIP area would be. I think the shuttle drops off somewhere nearby? If not, you might have to drop them at the car dealership. They could walk from there or hitch. It's a couple of miles or so. You could keep their stuff and take it out to TO through VIP. That might work out nicely.
My 5th Roo and just bought two Vip tickets. My wife insisted that was the only way after the heat last year. Been doing tent only the last two years and thought I was going to pass out hauling all my gear.
This is my fifth Roo and my first experience in VIP.
This is likely my last Roo with my wife as she's in medical school and won't have a vacation for 6-7 years. So I figured, why the hell not! Oh... let's not mention the fact that she almost lost a kidney in '05 because of the nasty bathrooms... long story. So put clean bathrooms on the list.

This is my 5th Roo and first VIP. My fiance is coming over from Australia for the event and I wanted us to have a great experience. Totally stoked: no line on Thursday, shower whenever I want, air conditioning whenever I want, music whenever I want. Going to be amazing. Everyone here is right, it's worth spending the money. After camping for 4 years in GA, having NO shade once inside Centeroo and dealing with the rain on day 1, mud the rest of the weekend - I'm HIGHLY looking forward to VIP treatment.

For all you VIP vets: we are bringing an rv but have friends driving in. Do we need a companion pass for their car? I thought that vip was small enough that it was not needed but if anyone here thinks we should get one please let me know. Thanks!

A couple of friends just bought VIP tics. It will be their first time going VIP and their first time going to 'roo. They have no idea how much fun is in store for them.
ditto to MusicToday, bought tickets on the payment plan, some how I was charged twice. glad I found it sooner than later. It took a 2 minute phone call today and the problem was fixed. Crystal was very nice
This will be my 3rd trip to the farm with my son (his fourth trip) and first VIP for both of us. The benefits of going VIP seemed to outweigh the costs (#1 is not waiting in traffic for 8 hours) so we'll give it a shot. Some of his buddies are coming along too for their first trip and decided to go VIP too.
3rd ROO first vip. Excited about these "perks" I keep reading about...but mostly being so close to centeroo. Just wondering is the there a completely different entrance that I've never noticed. or is it all about the timing to not have to wait in traffic.
