Ok..I just upgraded my GA tickets and now I feel so much better about taking my wife (her first Roo). I'm thinking this camp VIP inforoo sounds like a good time.

Also I believe I have responded to everyone that has sent me a PM or email with their info. If you have sent it to me and you are not on there yet, please let me know and I will have my best people (ya, the little ones in my brain that make me go) look into it
I just realized there is no real VIP RV camp. If you would like to help make one I am including the names of those who have asked about it. All VIP RVers are also welcome to hang out with us anytime . . . . no, not welcome . . . required

Add me to the list. Coming from Milwaukee. Meeting up with folks from Birmingham, Annapolis, Dallas. I'm also looking for a ride from Nashville Airport at around 7pm on Thursday. I don't mind riding the shuttle, but I only need a ride to Manchester, not back. That's covered.
Caseydog - Honestly trying to find a ride that late in the day may be difficult and the shuttle may be your best option. Camp inforoo VIP meets in Manchester around 8-9 am to caravan into Roo. Seeing how you wont have a vehicle, we should be able to have plenty of space for your tent.

First Roo since 06 for me. Very excited.
Last year I arrived at the airport with no shuttle ticket and was able to catch it one way for $20-25

Always corn in hand. Its a shame we live in such a monitary scare tactic state in the US. I dont get it so many corn supporters yet lies and scare tactics rule this nation.
A question or two for the non-virgins VIP, or virgins can answer if you know. My questions are about campsite lot size and parking in VIP.
Does anybody know the dimension of a space in VIP? Some have said 20'x20'-30', I have never been VIP and do not know. Some picture are confusing. I have based my sketches on a 20'x25' lot.
I heard one could park their truck sideways in the lot and not be over the line(~20'). This lot does not look that wide?
Is this how parking works? One car to the left, then one car to the right? Or is it park one row on the left, then park the row on the right?
after everybody is parked, Then rotate the vehicles to make two outer line of cars.
Fill that space with Tents, easy-up, tapestry, and such, to make as much shade as possible?
does this look right for VIP?
Would anybody like to get together and combine our easy-up and tarps and such to make a larger group-type-shade. I have seen pictures of camp sites and in some of these pictures there are people sitting around camp in their chairs, with some people under the shade, while others are not. I do not want any "others". I would like to have a large enough shade structure where the group can hang out, and if some are sitting on the outside, at least they are not in the sun. If I am correct and the VIP spots are ~20'X25', then four spots could combine together to make a shade area greater than 500sq ft. If I am wrong on the lot sizes, then our shade will be smaller, but either way of lot size I think if we plan, we could make a sweet community shade structure, that is carpeted! Yes, that is correct, I said carpet, that would be tarp-to-tarp carpet. That might not sound like much, but imagine being able to come back to home, to camp, and be able to lay down on carpet, a dry floor, not the Bonnaroo grass, giving ya the rash. Sometime those camp chairs are just not doing it for you, how nice would it be to be able to lay down on some carpet.
I said four, but if more want to try this then we can plan accordingly. PM me if interested, ideas.
THIS POST PAID FOR BY: Scrogaroo Realty Incorporated Business Machine Group "Do you have extra land at your Bonnaroo site? Let the people at Scrogaroo Realty Incorporated Business Machine Group use it. Here at Scrogaroo Realty Incorporate Business Machine Group, let us have your extra land, were we will turn it into shade"
Scrog - The last picture you have is how we usually do it. We all get in our spots (with minimal yelling at the parking people) turn our cars sideways along the outer line and then put tents closest to cars and then a double row of tarps down the middle to make our living room tarp. The Grande Dame of Tarps. The Tarp Maj'hal (as it were).
The spaces are wide enough for a vehicle to turn sideways without a problem.
And some of us do bring floors, TixTrix is THE master of the bamboo floor. If you check out our pics from last year (or previous), you'll get a sense of how we do what we do, which is be awesome and have an amazing Roo.
The last year I went VIP (08) there wasnt even a parking guy to help us park we just drove til we found a spot we liked and parked there lol. do they not fill the row then start on the row behind like they do in GA? seems like it would makes more sense to do what scrog has in the top drawing to park
Below are picx from the 08 VIP setup. Pretty representative of the camp, although this year we will not have Dan in bunny ears.... Lot's of space!
I have 4 of the Mad Mats below, mine are 4x6. They are made from recycled bottles and virtually indestructable. I use tent stakes to make a large carpet out of them. Tick Trix has Coco mats which are equally awesome.
