I'm hoping it is the other way around, with Arcade Fire playing unopposed on What, leading into MMJ. I don't think Arcade Fire has ever played more than a two-hour set, and their usual set clocks in around 90 minutes. Whereas MMJ sets frequently clock in around the two and a half hour mark. It wouldn't seem right to restrain MMJ -- they look forward to this set as much as we do!
They're pretty much confirmed to play What. insider gave us MMJ + AF on What on friday.
I wish people would stop misquoting insider.
She never said what stage they were playing on. I know it's assumed they'll both be on What stage and I think it will happen........but that's not what Insider told us. She just said both were on Friday and one would play before the other.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Let's assume Arcade Fire plays first on the What, then My Morning Jacket gets the late night spot on the What. Who do you wait to see in the pit?
If you do it right, you can usually get both.
This is usually the case. I think the Arcade Fire line is going to be pretty long, not quite like Pearl Jam was, but long. If MMJ is first, you could do pit for them, but the Arcade Fire pit would be full I would think. I hope it's the other way around though.
"Returning to the 85,000 capacity event - which kicks off June 9th on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee - are five-time vets My Morning Jacket. "We didn't play for two years, and I felt like we were missing Easter or Christmas," says guitarist Carl Broemel, adding that their 2008 after-hours blowout in pouring rain was a band favorite. "When the universe decides to make your show great for you, it's way cooler."
Can't agree more with above sentiments concerning Okonokos. Just started listening to MMJ in the last year and got to catch them in Louisville last winter. Unbelievable show!! Wish I had heard Okonokos before I went...
YES!!! Mmj with Louisville youth orchestra backing up was amazing!! And it was Halloween!! Great, great show.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
This is completely random, but when I was on the MMJ website this picture came up in the slideshow at the top of the page:
Does anyone have any idea what gas station that is or where it is located? I definitely want to try to swing by it at some point on the trip.
I posted that photo when collecting all MMJ @ Roo photos. It's from the photo gallery for one of the Bonnaroo years on their official site so I'm assuming it's nearby Roo.

I really feel that the next time My Morning Jacket plays, they will headline. They're billed 6th on a very top-heavy lineup... if their next album is as commercially successful as Evil Urges, I could easily see them coming back in 2013 or 2014 as the 3rd or 4th billed act, closing out Sunday. Bonnaroo and My Morning Jacket have so much history together, it's bound to happen sooner or later.

I'm with you. As long as this album doesn't tank, they'll be back in about three years to headline.

They filmed their episode of Storytellers tonight. Here's the setlist:
Wordless Chorus The Way That He Sings Golden Circuital (New song that might be called "Moving") Dondante Gideon Smokin from Shootin (Replayed the new song possibly called "Moving") Lullabies, Legends, and Lies (Shel Silverstein cover) One Big Holiday
And check out VH1's Twitter. They tweeted a bunch of bonus fun facts. For example, I never knew that "One Big Holiday" was inspired by "No Sleep Till Brooklyn."
