yeah I just got my wristband also, and I see we get the ticket when we arrive on Thursday but still! I also was hoping for the cloth wristbands again this year, I wonder if GA will get the same plastic type. So yeah I took it as a sign of saving time
Yuck, hate the new wristbands! I sure hope at some point they get exchanged for cloth! Was VIP really that much of an issue with people coming and going that now we have to be "tagged" electronically?
I loved the cloth- much more comfortable. But my wife easily slid hers off when we left- makes a nifty key ring! Plus, is it just me or is anyone else let down a little that we didn't get our tickets? I feel whiny saying "other people got theirs" but still- there's something special about holding that ticket!
Cloth wristband were new in 2008. There were different colors for different levels. Like volunteers were teal. GA were lime green, VIP were purple? Vendors had a different color as well.
Can someone tell if there was a letter included with your tickets/wristbands. I'm not getting my VIP package until sometime next week. Whenever the radio station decides to send them out. I don't have any patience.

Yeah also on the hang tag there is directions, at least we get a parking sticker instead of that hang tag for the whole festival. I'll grow to like the wristbands though, I'm afraid it might get ripped off while dancing one night!!!!! (maybe I'm just paranoid)
Ah, sorry. The flier has super secret directions, info on Thursday night party, info about the gift pack, plus other information that's online- mainly about rules and stuff. It's real importance are the directions on check in and how to get there.

One of the little black fasteners on one of my wristbands was broken! Anyone think they'll send me another wristband? I superglued it but I don't know if it will hold. Leno Leno Leno Leno!!!!!!!!

I doubt they would send you another wristband but i would think they would be able to do something at the gate, when they are supposed to put it on you.

I doubt they will choose to send you another wrist band and will likely just replace it upon arrival however if I were you I would send them an email and let them know anyway.
We won't know until much closer to Roo. I would be willing to bet they will be plastic again with the RFID tag in it. They only scanned it a handful of times, but I guess we will wait and see if they learned anything from using em. I hope they go back to the cloth ones too, but the plastic really wasn't that uncomfortable to wear over the weekend.

The plastic bands are "practical" and eliminate problems. A cloth band would be more comfortable, though. Suggestion: a plastic band with RFID chip, inside a cloth sheath!
