The Rockets completely changed their system and centered it around Russ. Now they cant play an ordinary way, and have a severe problem with the Thunder and specifically Steven Adams.
ik i get all that, i just feel like the way most people have spoken about Harden the past few years is as an all time great, and i just find it odd that folks are so quick to accept a first round L here as not that big of a deal for him.
I see him as an all-time great because I don't think the gap between playoff performance and regular season performance is as massive as many suggest. He's undoubtedly been a top 5 regular season player for the last 5-7 years.

i wouldn't say the gap is massive, but its definitely significant. the last two years in particular have been pretty damning. the game 7 drought in 2018 and the fact that he just got completely outclassed by Steph / Klay last year after KD went down, both were bad looks. it just depends on what level of "all time great" we're talking about here? My little brother tries to tell me he's nipping on the heels of D Wade. I'd say he's much closer to Tracy / Vince.

Baring some sort of major injury Harden will likely be a top 10 scorer, and top 20 assist maker of all time. he has an outside shot at most points in NBA history. Do with that what you will, but hes already passed Tracy/Vince in my mind.

no yeah i think he's surpassed them too, but he's much closer to them on the all time SG spectrum, than he is to D Wade.
Feeling pretty great. Absorbed Spida’s best game ever and Jamal has looked so fucking good lately. That said it would be realllllly nice to get at least one of Gary Harris or Barton back to defend Mitchell going forward.

yeah ya'll are scary. Clips better look out, bc im not sure who would guard Jokic.

last time we played them they had no answer for Jokic and absolutely annihilated us anyway. Still think we’d be huge underdogs but with playoff Jokic, Jamal who seems to have gone to another level and the emergence of MPJ we could make it interesting.
