Mavs-Blazers actually turning into an interesting game. Might be the last game before the playoffs where both teams try. Dallas put Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in to guard Melo. He rarely plays anymore, so they must trying very hard to either win or lose the game.
Speaking of which, they just showed one their Issa Rae bubble ads and it's to hype up the next game, which is..
Portland having played one more game really worked out for them. I'm skeptical they'll be much of an issue for the Lakers but I'm sure there will be a crazy Dame Game.
3 straight scoring title, 8th person, 6 are in the HoF, KD is the other.
3rd player to lead PPG and SPG, Jordan/Iverson
V excited to see James v CP3 in the playoffs
so when CP3 takes care of harden and hobbled russ in 6 games what are we supposed to make of it? in the context of harden being an all time great player

If Russ doesn't play and Harden still wins, I'm sure you'll react accordingly.
Can't wait for everyone to suck Dame's dick some more after he beats this also-ran Grizzlies team to secure an eighth seed. And he made the Western Conference Semis last year, too. Legend.
I liked him and I liked his style of coaching with the super fast pace. Time ran out on him, and I’ll trust Griffin to hire someone to break out of the lottery pool. It may take 2 years to do it, but I think we have good players and great future assets.

i mean people consider him a top SG of all time, and he's in his prime. he should be able to beat a 35 year old Chis Paul.

Chris Paul is also considered one of the best to ever play his position and his game has obviously aged really well. I still think we win, but obviously losing Russ, who we traded Capela for RoCo and went extreme small-ball for and who makes like 40M dollars a year, is a blow.
I'm not sure what will happen in the series, but it's weird that you're reflexively predicting an outcome that somehow might diminish what Maddog posted about Harden (it doesn't anyway). Kind of a tell.
Also, basketball is a lot more complicated than Harden vs Paul lol
You mean the Chris Paul who never made a WCF til he played with James Harden? The guy who the Harden Rockets beat in the playoffs in 2015 when Chris was the same age Harden is now?

The Rockets completely changed their system and centered it around Russ. Now they cant play an ordinary way, and have a severe problem with the Thunder and specifically Steven Adams.
I think the Rockets present more issues for the Thunder and their weaknesses than vice versa.
Thunder are a middling iso defense. They're playing against James Harden. Thunder aren't particularly good at offensive rebounding, a Rockets weakness that could be exploited by a better team. Thunder aren't good in transition, another Rockets defensive weakness. Thunder are bad defending in transition themselves. The Rockets' transition offense is elite (though that's almost entirely Russ so idk).
It hurts to lose Russ for however many games, hopefully not the entire series, and anything can happen, but there's not much about the Thunder in particular that's scary for the team. They just need to hit their shots (looking at Gordon especially).

ik i get all that, i just feel like the way most people have spoken about Harden the past few years is as an all time great, and i just find it odd that folks are so quick to accept a first round L here as not that big of a deal for him.
