maybe if they were at least fighting for a playoff spot, but they're fuckin 18-29.
he joined the Cavs (for more obvious reasons) when they were terrible. having lonzo, ingram, possibly PG, Bron is a really good team. walton should be a good enough coach going forward. winning a title in LA > winning anywhere but Boston/Chicago as far as legacy goes.
yeah but Paul George is probably in play as a team mate.
i dont think so, things are lookin up for him in OKC, they look good.
durant left a better team after being their franchise guy, melo won't last forever, idk i think it's in his best interest to leave, and i think he knows that too.

yeah that team would be good, but it still isnt close to beating GSW.
After the Heatles era, if Lebron joins any super team that's already a contender it's bad for his legacy. It's not like it rly matters either, wherever he ends up is immediately in contention.

other than the warriors, which we all know isnt going to happen, there isnt a team he could join that would "hurt his legacy". He needs to join a legitimate contender with at least two other all star level players if he wants a realistic shot at actually winning another title. Why would he be remembered more favorably if he joined NY only to struggle to beat the Celtics for the next 4 years?

because there's a negative connotation to ring chasing. if he goes to a legacy team, thats not a super team, it's going to look better. i feel like he cares a pretty good deal about his image. him on the knicks would be fucking huge, unfortunately for them, they're kind of hamstrung by having terrible ownership and Noahs 60 something million remaining.

i dont think there is anymore though. After Kevin Durant left a team with another top 8 player in the league to join the greatest regular season team of all time, of which KD held a 3-1 playoff lead over, no one can really come at Lebron for making a stacked team more stacked. Its what you have to do to even have a chance anymore.
Steph was on a cheap contract because his ankles seemed to be made of glass after his first few years in the league.
I'm not sure how the cap works these days but could they sign LeBron, and then re-sign CP3 using bird rights to go over the cap?
Gordon and Anderson make a lot of money between the two of them. They could probably get creative and lose those guys, using the savings to sign LeBron.
That's two ways, off the top of my head, that are fairly simple. Either could possibly be wrong. I'm not a capologist. The Warriors have four guys like that, the Rockets would have three. Paul and LeBron's longer tenures will make their max higher, tbf. But if they really want to play with each other that bad, who knows.

yeah we'd have to sign cp3 after. i think it was clear people didn't want to take on anderson last year but now he'd be a year closer to exp., plus he's been playing much better this year.

His playoff play tanked his value. He should be easier to move now. Also, making a desperate move like giving up Capela will be more advisable in acquiring LeBron than acquiring Melo, for sure.

Ok, yeah. I thought that they had changed that rule, but wasn't sure.
Maddog and I have made it clear that we don't think it's very likely to happen. He said 5%, I said a little higher. I agree that the Lakers are the most likely, but it is possible.
Here are four scenarios, three involving trades, two with Cleveland (writing's on the wall, Cleveland should probably try to get something):
