"You look like you're listening to every note." - Lady to me during LCD's "final" show 2023: Mar 29 - Guster Apr 6 - Postmodern Jukebox Apr 26 - Father John Misty May 14 - Taylor Swift (Philly) May 17 - Robert Plant and Alison Krauss July 12 - moe. July 16 - CAKE (Portland, ME) July 28-30 - Newport Folk (#12!) Dec 8-9 - Goosemas!
This new trend of "creative" lineup reveals is frankly pretty stupid. Especially, when we basically know the lineup. Glad to get a solid date. Means, ACL will probably be announced a couple weeks after.

I don't mind this one as much. I mean having an event for the lineup reveal isn't necessarily a bad thing and doesn't even come close to the clusterfuck that was the Bonnaroo lineup release.

So it looks like Arcade Fire is actually happening. Awesome as long as Soundgarden or the Strokes aren't conflicting. Lolla usually has the worst conflicts but last year worked out perfectly for me. I like YYY's but no question to see Tool instead and I don't care about KOL or Killers so I got to watch three good headliners with no regrets.

Oh man. And I thought Bonnaroo releasing one band at a time was enough to drive me nuts... now Lolla is doing it by letter?
I'm surprised that Phoenix has already become a top tier act for such a major festival. Their career trajectory over the past 12-18 months has been astonishing. Given their billing, I'm thinking they'll be one of the second stage headliners.
Besides Green Day and Lady Gaga, this lineup actually isn't too shabby so far.

arcade fire is an annoying grab for them because they'd be such an experience at roo, but i understand because they have to finish their album and everything.
but i hate that coachella and lollapalooza both got grizzly bear. why couldnt they come back two years in a row, break the rules like galactic and mgmt

Having a great light show sure doesn't hurt but the thinking is that they'll be pre headliners like the Raconteurs were in 08, playing before the unopposed Radiohead, which would most likely be Green Day in this case.
