The cheap housing, long summer nights and wicked local music scene are all nice, but I just read an article in the newspaper (remember them, newspapers?) that gives me another reason to stick around town.
A guy was recently caught with 14 marijuana plants in his basement, which happened to be right across the street from the police station. His sentence? A $3,000 fine. Incredible. No jail time, no probation, just a fine. I love Winnipeg
