Hi Everyone, just checking, but how many VIP'ers are going solo? I am - and I can't wait. Its my 4th year at Bonnaroo, first alone - but I figured I'd hate it more if I didn't attend. So 'roo won that faceoff.
I'll be there solo and I cannot wait. Nobody to worry or care for but me. OMG I haven't thought about just myself in over 20 years I am in Nirvana. Look for me I will be short with a perpetual smile on my face wondering the highways and biways of Bonnaroo.
Yup, I'm goin solo. Takin the shuttle from the airport i guess 9 a.m. thurs Kinda nervous about this as it's my first Roo and supposedly this is where I trade in my GA wristband for me VIP and catch the shuttle in then find a spot in the VIP tent area. Hey...ALL OF YOU UP THERE!!! if y'all are doing VIP solo & want to meet a ton of other VIP Inforoosters, just look for the giiiiiiinormous group of us camped together (~60+!) and say hello! Seriously, we are all friendly, we love to hang out w/other fun 'Roo folks & you'll have a blast!
Our communal camp will be easy to spot - look for sparkly disco balls & related decorations! Then try to make it to the Inforoo Brunch on Friday morning (9:30-noon'ish) in Tent Only. There will be HUDREDS of Inforoosters there sharing food, drinks, etc - and miles o' smiles! ;D
I'm heading down solo now too. I'm pretty nervous about jumping into a camp and saying hi..let's be friends! But I know the Roo type, and they're all pretty friendly. My camp won't have anything distinguishable, so I'll likely introduce myself to one of you. PM me if any others want to arrange a get-together!
smperk, you and any other solo campers have nothing to be nervous about. While I've never done a solo roo trip, I can say I've always encountered incredibly friendly neighbors, whether in GA or VIP. The nice thing about going VIP is the dinner on Thursday night. It's a perfect opportunity to meet other people. Keep a look out for us. I'll be with a group of four, and you'll be able to distinguish us via the "enormous" green Nissan Cube. :-) If you see it, feel free to stop by and say hello.
Hello all solo VIPers, if you want to find Camp Inforoo VIP, please send me a PM and I will reply with my cell that you can call/txt anytime!!! All inforooers are expected to hang out with us so we can put a face to all these avatars

Going solo for my fourth roo... Mixed emotions but I think all will be good. I will have plenty of shade to share so friends should come easy. The only problem I have is they screwed up my tickets and now I have to pick the package up at will call and try to sell a wristband on the side of the road. Anyone needing a good price on a vip wristband with parking pass thursday morning let me know.
