soo im drawing a blank i know in vip by the bathrooms there are lot s of lights so its easy to see but in tents do you think a lantern is worth the money or was a flashlight enough?? started really getting things together and the boy asked and i had a total uho moment! thanks for the ideas ahead of time :
you could get by with a flashlight. However, for hanging in camp in the evening - it may be rough with just a flashlight. I bring a led lantern & a flashlight. I think I bought my lantern at REI for 15 bucks. I'm sure they have them at Wal-Mart, Target, etc.
I have a solar lantern for the campsite. There are some dark places in VIP if you have a shade canopy, and like SunDevil said, it's good to have a larger light of some type for hanging out after dark. I have a cute little bendy light thing to carry with me so I'm not killing myself over tent stakes and lines. I'll also lend it out to my GA buddies for nighttime porto trips in Centeroo for brownie points.
Agree with all. You need a flashlight to make your way around at night -- especially to the bathroom and to avoid the guy lines. A lantern for camp is nice for atmosphere. One final word, bring a small flashnight at night to the shows in Centeroo so you can see inside the Port-o. Don't look down the hole, though....
