I have been trying to keep my $0.02 out but let me just say that you guys are getting way too tore up about the mis-spelled townsperson PM.
Some of you received your PM with a spelling error and halfway through e-mailing everyone I spotted the error and fixed it. So some of you did not see the initial spelling error.
imo, it is entirely too analytical, not to mention trivial, and you should take it for what it's worth.... which isn't much.

Well, I'm a little confused by this. I don't know if you're wrong about her sending them out en masse, or why she would have sent mine separately, but townsperson was spelled correctly in mine.
Did you receive the message earlier or later than I received it? It's possible that Bek caught the spelling error and corrected it in the later messages. I was assuming she'd cut-and-pasted all of the messages, and they'd all read the same.
I know that Bek, as Referee, has to maintain neutrality... but please note that she basically just confirmed what I had already been saying.
I respect the decision, because I think it's the Referee's discretion. I think future referees in similar situations should have the same discretion too, instead of automatically disallowing it.
I refuse to vote for either of these two. After what we've learned this round, I think they're both innocent.
I abstain from voting for either of these two, and think other players should be given the chance to exercise this option as well.
If Bek won't let me (and by extension, anyone else) abstain it would close voting, so this could be the last thing I say as a living player...
I've separated everyone into three groups: Innocent 1st & 2nd Degree, and Mafia?. If I go tonight, which I think is quite possible, I want to make sure the Townspeople have my list.
Innocent, First Degree (alphabetically) Fishingmaniac Handgunhips kdogg Sadie
Innocent, Second Degree (alphabetically) NBF RonBurgandy?
Mafia? (in order of likelihood) Rooconteur Kelaroo Higgi
If anyone who's not on that Mafia list dies tonight, I think all the Townspeople/Innocents should go after those three (in order) with a vengeance. I don't think whacking one person on this list automatically discredits the other two; rather, I think it will root out the one of those three that's not Mafia.
It is ironic that you put NBF and HGH with yourself as innocent. I am leaning more toward you three being mafia. That post was a bad move on your end for my final decision. I was thinking you three were mafia, that post just proved it to me. A better move would have been to put one or your names on the mafia list, it would have been A LOT less obvious.

Nothingbutflowers and her friend justmeg were hanging under a big tree at Which stage enjoying some David Byrne when meg got the great idea to climb the tree for a better look. But a much needed gust of wind came and meg lost her footing. GAYdogg spotted meg and tried to climb up and save her but she slipped from his grasp and landed directly on top of NBF. Luckily, Meg survived but unfortunately NBF did not.
Day three has ended, night three has begun.
Left to play: Handgunhips Kelaroo Rooconteur RonBurgandy Kdogg Sadielady Fishingmaniac Higgi
PMs from: Mafia (with death story) Nurse Inspector
And Mafia - knock it off with quacking smiting me already.
I go drink with some friends for a few hours, and I come back to find I'm down six since I last logged in. I haven't posted in a different thread in over 24 hours. (As a reference point, I'm currently at 84, and 29 of my last 30 posts have been in this thread.)
I haven't really been active in any other threads besides this one lately. I know it's you, pissed off because I'm onto you. Funny how the more I move in the direction I'm going, the more I get smited. This six wasn't the first noticeable drop that's happened this round - the first occurred before my Ace, when I was defending myself against Rooconteur's accusations. Funny that when I was going after NBF, my karma was on the rise. Funny that this happens after I dared the Mafia to whack the most suspicious person outside of their ranks. Funny how Kelaroo & Rooconteur, the two I think are most likely Mafia, were the only players participating in the thread while this smiting occurred.
I called out Rooconteur, Kelaroo & Higgi at 11:45pm Central time last night. Last login times for current players, at the time of this writing: Kelaroo - 1:43am today Rooconteur - 12:04am today Fishingmaniac - forever logged in since July ------- Handgun - 7:00pm yesterday Higgi - 6:08pm yesterday RonBurgandy? - 2:22pm yesterday Sadie - 11:22am yesterday
Above that line are the only people who've logged in since I called out Rooconteur, Kelaroo and/or Higgi...
It's a game, and taking it out on me via anonymous smiting is... hmmm, how should I phrase this? A "pussy move," I believe one of you called it.

I gave you some karma too. It's funny that I'm forever logged in since July, because even though I always clikc on that (the fact that I "always" click on that should speak for itself) I have to log in often. In fact on Thur I logged in and left it at six hours because I was feeling lazy.
First, to everyone: Thanks for the karma, but I'm not bringing that up to return it to where it was. I'm pointing out the smiting - and those who might be doing it - as an observation to how someone out there is reacting. I find it hard to believe I'm suddenly being smited a day after the fact for mentioning the anniversary of the Iraq war... it could be some jealous people below me in the March Madness ranks - but everyone is below me at the moment in that regard.
Fishing, I double-checked your profile and still see the same last login time: 8 Jul, 2008, 7:21am
Rooconteur, give it up already! I have done everything I can possibly to do convince you of my innocence. When I posted that, we were down to nine players (and NBF died). That leaves us with eight players.
I believe we have two Mafia remaining - that narrows the pool of innocents to six. I believe we've already lost the Vigilante & Inspector. That leaves us with with Nurse as the only pro-Townsperson role left. That leaves five players, myself included, who are probably Townspeople. That makes four Townspeople besides myself. I played the Ace with the aim of convincing some of these four Townspeople of my innocence. If you didn't notice based on some of the reactions to playing my Ace, I changed a couple of minds there...
You didn't believe it from the horse's mouth, and you're still not believing it after more than one of my fellow innocents confirmed what I was saying. It's one thing not to trust me for saying it; it's another thing not to trust me despite multiple confirmations from other players.
At best, you're a stubbornly misguided innocent going after a Townsperson. At worst, and probably more likely, you're mafia.
Mafia? (in order of likelihood) Rooconteur Kelaroo Higgi

Keeping tabs on most recent post/login times, because I think it will give us some information.
Bek started Night Three at 12:28am (Central) today. Bek's last login was today at 3:45am.
Last login times for surviving players Kelaroo: 11:41am today Rooconteur: 12:57pm today Sadie: 11:54am today RonBurgandy?: 11:53am today Handgun: 7:56am today Higgi: 6:08 pm yesterday Fishing: 8th Jul, 2008 at 8:21am
If Bek logs in, but doesn't have a story to share, we know she's waiting on Higgi (definitely) or Fishingmaniac (possibly) to close the Night. If she posts a story before Higgi logs in again, that will tell us he's definitely not the Nurse, and make it less likely he's involved in Mafia collaboration. She could also hold out on posting until after everyone's logged in, just to spite me... I'm being a bit of a batardo in her PM box.

Kdogg, I do not doubt what you are seeing in the logs. I'm just saying that it's interesting that it makes me log in. I find proboards to be sloppy. The V Bulletin boards I belong to are much more reliable in every way.
BTW, I suggest that you read over my posts from yesterday and today. Sprinkled in with the conundrum of my posts are some clues. Strategic and intentional. See if you can figure them out.

I am not sure this should be used as a valid piece of evidence towards anyone, as it is supposed to be private and, basically, is being used in an act of desperation.. but my PM had no errors in it whatsoever.
I missed this the first time around, and just found it while going back to re-read Fishing's posts. This seems to concur with what NBF said.
