Hey all Pittbob here and coming back again to VIP. Are we all going to get together for Camp VIP like last year. I am totally up for it and will be there. Let me know and lets start the planning. Who else is in?

I am a member of the popular bonnaroo message board "inforoo" - over 3000 people visit the site each day. We will have many (many!) folks camping in both tent-only and in VIP.
Would it be possible to designate an "inforoo" area in VIP. This would eliminate difficult meet ups and allow us to camp together. We are not looking for an exclusive area, just one general area that would be known to the staff while driving into VIP.
And, if you guys were feeling really generous, actually naming this spot on the printed map would be outrageous.

Well I'm new to the board, but you seem like cool folks. Even if I don't stay at camp inforoo, it would be fun to hang out. So I hope they can pre-determine a spot. I'd definitely stop by for a drink.
Last year was my first 'Roo, and I went VIP and ended up the second to last car on the end of a row in the far corner...
One of my neighbors was super cool and shared their obscene amount of corn they brought like it was going to be thrown away if it wasn't all used by monday morning!
However, I did not see much of a party scene where I was. It seemed like everyone had EVERYTHING they needed so sharing wasn't really going on. Mostly everyone kept to themselves, and I feel like I missed out on the Bonnaroo vibe I had read so much about!
Currently I have 2 GA tickets, b/c I was supposed to have about 6 others coming down. I figured this would give me a great atmosphere that I felt I missed out on. However slowly I am beginning to fear that this economy is going to prevent most (if not all of them) from coming.
If they aren't coming down, I will definitely be upgrading to VIP for '09, but I was hoping to find a resolution to the lack of action I saw last year...
I noticed someone earlier on the thread had a similar post, about finding a good spot to be in VIP. Anyone have any advice?

I sent an email to bonnaroo echoing your request for a designated VIP camp inforoo along with some other questions but have only received an automated response so far. It doesn't seem likely but who knows, we can probaby move around once settled in anyway.

I hope that I get a chance to play some beerpong this time around. IN 2007 we had a tournament idea but that was wishful thinking and everything fell through. If anyone brings a table and cups, I'll supply the beer and the winning team

That is a great idea! We bring tables every year, but never thought to do that. Maybe a twilight tourny in that hour gap before the headliners start?
