This is the first time in a long time that I've read more than 2 pages of an internet article, but this one had my eyes glued to the screen. Horrible police work, and the fact that they can't even admit what they did was wrong makes it worst. I respect police officers for what they do, and that goes double for SWAT officers, but this is a travesty. What is this government spending it's tax dollars on? Paramilitary raids on innocent people? Illegal raids? Illegal tactics? No-knock warrants? Lies and deceit?
We may have voted Obama in to office, but it's time to start realizing that a lot of the problems people deal with happen on a smaller level. This happens all the time, but we heard about it because it was a mayor. How many times has something like this happened without anyone hearing about it, because police continue to threaten them with charges to keep them silent? Had this man not been the mayor, I bet we would've seen him in jail next. His life would be ruined, and his greatest companions would lay rotting in a dumpster behind a police station. I think it's time for the police to rethink their "shoot, then ask questions" policy, after all, hasn't our parents taught us this lesson our entire lives? "Think before you act"

the only way for us to stop them it to take photos and demand that they up hold the laws for both side's . What I mean is when we see this or hear of this we demand to know what the powers that be are doing about it . But don't do it face to face do it in the paper or with a local tv add . I know ny state hate's it when ever I publish exerpts from when I go to support court and they cheat or lie in court . This last appearence they informed me that even though I was down to half time at work and half time on unemployment they could still take all of the support . Which unfortunately for me leaves me about $72 a week in a paycheck . Unemployment is a benifit there fore they can take all of it . I asked if they made people on welfare pay taxes on there "benefit's' . The answer was "no welfare doesn't have to because they are benefits ". I countered with " well I have to pay taxes on my unemployment " the answer was "thats to bad " don't steal your gouverment hates competion .

They've always been there--the jack-booted stormtroopers--but 8 years of "patriotism" and fear have caused the fanatics to join police forces in ever increasing numbers.
I clicked the link and saw that the dogs died- im already too sad to read that. This happens quite often no? I've seen many sights of mistaken deaths- human at that. Our government is so extremely faucked up its incredible. Prohibition didn't work 90 years ago why will it work again?
I read this article a few days ago. What may be the worst part of this is that the guy was the MAYOR OF HIS TOWN - just shows how much research the cops do beforehand.
Also, didn't this incident actually happen in like August? I read a follow-up article about it that was published just last week which contains some live chatting with the reporter and with Cheye, and he talks about how his family still isn't even allowed to read the police report on the incident. Fucking ridiculous.
