I thought this portable, 12v, plug it in to the car or use a car battery microwave looked good for a quick microwaved burrito late night. At $200 cheaper than VIP food but it doesn't review very well...back to grilled cheese... [a href=""][/a]
I just got an email promoting this food option again. If they are still trying to push it at this late in the game, they must not have sold very many.
Yeah I thought that email was a little sad. It read like "Come on guys. Get the food, its yummy we promise. And its worth the outrageous price because they cater for Sex in the City and own restaurants in other states."
I am tempted to take $200 to centeroo and buy as much food as possible just to photograph and send Superfly.

I've always found vendor food to be one of the best parts of festivals anyway. I've never had something from a vendor that I didn't enjoy to the fullest.
Last year the food was the worst part of VIP. Long lines, low quality, and they ran out of most everything. I like that they are trying to do something different this year. However, they have effectively raised the price and reduced what you get. That is an amazing thing to do when the economy is in free fall recession. I am going with two doctors and two engineers. No one thinks the food is worth it. We are gonna eat lunch at Centeroo and cook four meals back at the RV. I loved the centeroo food last year. Greek salads and gyros were awesome and they were like 6 bucks.
Predictions - number of VIPS who buy food plan will be like 25% of 2008 number of VIP tickets sold in 2009 = 80% of 2008

That's the difference between you and me, thought it would be better to sleep in a tent and spend $200 for all you can eat high quality food you know will be served properly than rent an RV and eat from vendors and cook for yourself.
I definitely think the quality of the food will be better than 2008 and it'll be nice for those who purchased the plan to not have such long waits. I get full on three string beans and a cracker, so it wasn't worth the price for me but it's nice that others can take advantage of the option.
Well we just got back from a week of mountain biking in Canyonlands National Park. We had to camp and cook for ourselves. While we had a wonderful time it was a major hassle to pre package food and then unpack it and cook it....
So we are going to do the food program for nothing more than convenience.
Our Voucher numbers are in the mid 130's. Anyone care to share a higher number for an unscientific poll of how many were sold?
