Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
So next to Bonnaroo and Inforoo, Jezebel.com is my favorite thing in the world. If you aren't familiar, its a feminist-leaning blog that comments on pretty much everything but mostly pop culture and women's issues. One of the writers and her friend do a weekly video blog called "Corn Psychology" in which they indulge and then answer email questions, usually about relationships and sex. Its pretty silly but I like it
So anyway, in the most recent installment, they are asked a question about a particular indulgence, and Bonnaroo is brought up in their answer. Rather than rehash, just watch the video - that part is at the 3:15 min mark. I was a little puzzled by what seemed to be a negative association with Bonnaroo, especially when Rich laughs/exclaims "Bonnaroo?!" but, hey, I imagine they'd just had plentiful servings of corn so I'm not going to read much into it. Just an interesting convergence of my two beloved things, and thought you guys might enjoy the silly video as well as the mention. Happy Holidays!

i feel bad for saying it, but while i like MMJ, i just don't understand the hype about their roo 08 show. i stayed for about an hour or so, and ended up at tiesto where i had so much more fun. maybe it was just mood at the time.

I left the Superjam and ended up at Tiesto breifly, then stumbled upon MMJ playing One Big Holiday. I had an equally fun time dancing at both, and when MMJ took an intermission, I'm pretty sure I went back to Tiesto But I still went back to MMJ, just because One Big Holiday got me so pumped. That was by far the highlight of the whole show in general, and I'm pretty sure that's what EW really was talking about, partly due to Kirk Hammett showing up.

See that's the problem... you only stayed for an hour
On a more serious note, have you given the recordings of the show a listen? I wasn't there so I can't fully comment on the epicness of it from a personal view, but I mean from what I hear through my computer, Jim James made it rain on the farm. And then he melted faces and blew minds. Definitely think that would've been my favorite show had I been there

As long as we're hi-jacking threads... I was bouncing around latenight too, and was sort of bored at MMJ and went to the superjam. Now when i am at home listening to the recording of the show i find myself wondering why i ever left. I think it was just my mood at the time also. Apparently i was in the mood to make bad decisions.

meh...MMJ has never really got me going as far as wanting to get up and shake my booty. i like listening to them, and i think they're a great band, but i'm not a fanatic like a lot of the roosters here. i went to tiesto and had a grand time!
also, my favorite show of the weekend was ghostland observatory...and it wasn't raining!

Undecided....I did the same thing. I wasn't bored at MMJ but we just did a lot of walking back and forth between shows. Staying in one spot was just NOT gonna happen no matter what that night. I was too figety. It is one of my biggest regrets of the year.
To get back on topic though....herecomesthesun, I have been on jezebel.com before but I always forget about it when I am bored. Thanks for the reminder....my bosses will greatly appreciate it
