Dark Side or Animals would be amazing. I think they are going to pull something like this out for the Late Night. I think the headlining set will be normal but there's got to something up their sleeve for late night. No idea what but, I'll be there when it goes down.
it's actually funny because i've had this premonition for awhile now. i keep having dreams of them latenight covering either an album or lots of songs. i just remember hearing them sing When I'm Sixty-Four and also hearing Fishman scream out the melody to Great Gig In The Sky. i hope my premonitions are true and we'll be seeing some crazy rare covers latenight in June!

^ You can count on a few Talking Head covers to be sure, with David Byrne on vocals more than likely. I'd like to hear some Rock'n'Roll by Velvet Underground and maybe A Day in the Life as well.

So what does everyone think the scheduling conflicts will be with Phish on Friday? I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll be missing out on Girl Talk and Paul Oakenfeld to see the boys.

Looks like most of the electronic/dance acts will be Friday -that's my major scheduling conflict since I'll be at phish no matter what.
Oakenfold is in Vegas on Sat., so he's a given for Fri late night -maybe he'll spin extra late for us phans!
Amazing: Phish, Bruce, Amadou & Mariam, Vieux Farke Toure, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Wilco, NIN Good to great: Animal Collective, NIN, Jimmy Buffet, King Sunny Ade, Tobacco, MGMT, Passion Pit, Kraak & Smack Glad to have seen: Oakenfold, Grizzly Bear, Beastie Boys, of Montreal, Snoop Dogg

Yeah, you brought up another good point. What time will Phish's set be? If we're talking an 11 PM start time, then yes, there may be time to catch the end of some other sets. If we're talking 12:30 or 1 AM start, probably not. Oh, and welcome to Inforoo, some crunchies for your bad self.
this just in- what stage expanded to hold 2 band capacity. The Phish and The Dead will be hosting an 8 hour intensity jam covering songs and playing originals spanning the years from the 50's to today.
I heard that The Phish are gonna have a 3D light show for the late night, not unlike what Claypool did for NYE recently. I'm intrigued. Anyone know anything bout that?
I was just procrastinating (studying for my last set of exams ever - well, kind of) and I was looking through some old setlists on Phantasy Tour. One thing that blew my mind (which I totally forgot) was how cheap Phish's tickets used to be. I was looking up the Island Tour (still the best run of shows I ever saw, and it's not even close) and tickets were only $25!
Now? We're at 50 easy, and that's if you can even get a ticket. FML.
still though, they could easily sell for 100 and sell out just as fast. 50 is definitely a low ticket price. bands like dave matthews band and coldplay generally sell tickets for around 100 and don't sell out as fast as phish does. it's a low 50 for the fans.

I've seen DMB 40 times and never paid $100 for a ticket. $80 max and I was in around the 20th row. I still think $50 is too much but I'll pay it every time for Phish.
A Thieve's Parade 2/24 Conspirator 2/26 Kevin Smith 3/11 Keller 3/17 Papadosio 3/18 JJ Grey 3/25 Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer 3/26 Toubab Krewe 3/27 O'Death 4/11 Budos Band 4/22 EOTO 4/28 Summer Camp 5/6-29 All Good
I really can't believe they would put oakenfold against phish late night, I'm not even a fan of Oakenfold so much but I was hoping to catch jus a little electronica at roo but I guess not. If wasnt gonna be at starscape before roo and projekt after I would be really pissed about this conflict.
