Anyone else super-intrigued as to the details of this project? Ever since the ACL lineup came up, I've been really hoping they get added to Roo. I cant wait to find out what latest trick Mr. Oberst has up his sleeve. Plus with friends and peers of his such as Jim James, Jenny Lewis, and Ben Gibbard playing the festival as well, it opens up the possibility for some super collabos.
He's played a couple of shows already under the name. Theres good quality bootlegs floatin' around. It's quite good. Would definitely fit well at Bonnaroo.

I'd really love to see them get booked for bonnaroo, but I'd love for Desparecidos to be there even more. But I don't think they have enough material to play a bonnaroo lenght set.

oh yes, desaparecidos rock my world, and it doesn't matter, they can play all their songs. It would be one of the best sets of the weekend even if it was only 40 minutes long.
I haven't heard Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band but I'm about to start looking around for this 'bootleg'.

Not totally sure. There was never an official announcement saying that Bright Eyes was done. It seems like the only difference between this and BE, personnel wise, is that Mike Mogis and Nate Wolcott aren't in the band, and I can't see Conor never working with them again, so I bet we'll see some more Bright Eyes down the road.
