And if Jack started at 8 pm, that would put Pearl Jam back to like 10ish. And Pearl Jam live shows can easily go over 3 hours. Which would put this around 1ish.
Are they gonna give Jack a super short set, or will Pearl Jam cut their set short? Or will Jack actually start before sunset?
Okay, went back to check if the link I gave was working and it's not. I don't know why but that's where it was. The sun is scheduled to set at 8:01 pm on June 14 2008.
I can't really see them giving Pearl Jam the shortest set of the headliners when they are billed first. I'll be a little disappointed if that happens. If Pearl Jam plays until after midnight, most of the casual fans will leave for some of the other latenight activities and hopefully the diehards get to stick around and hear some rare Pearl Jam songs.

I think everyone is misinterpreting what Superfly said, or maybe Superfly was misleading in what they said. I have no doubt that JJ will simply fill the slot that ABB had (which according to another post was at 6:00). I think Superfly just wanted it to be known that he would be playing during Sunset, which I think is the time of day his music is suited for.

See, i don't think that's what they meant, because it also says, "Jack Johnson has chosen to join his friends Pearl Jam on the main stage Saturday night stepping into the slot vacated by the Allmans." So... unless the Allman Bros. were also going to START at sunset, Superfly messed up in trying to get across what is actually going to happen.

If PJ goes past midnight, it will be rough trying to get to the latenight and get a spot.

I preferred JJ on sunday (i wanted to see what he put together for a headliner spot). I still think jack will put on a good set but its gonna be slammed pack for PJ. And I wouldn't put JJ and PJ in the same vibe category. So Jack will have 20k of his closest PJ fans surrounding him and yelling (play elderly women)
i am so much happier about jj's new spot in the lineup. i was hatin the fact that he was going to close the fest, but i think he will be perfect right before pj
