Margo Price does things with her voice that make me go “Wow, I could never even dream of doing that”, and also she makes me think that at least once a song.

Holy shit was Quinn Christopherson good last night opening up for Lucy Dacus! One of the most powerful and enjoyable opening acts I've seen in a long time. I cried through half of the show. Lucy was amazing too. Really just an overall beautiful and well curated tour.

This is one of those weeks you live for!
Saw Stereolab last night in ATL - Such an incredible show, I came out drenched in sweat from dancing so much. Bradford Cox came out for the last song and they went into an otherworldly jam of weirdness for about 10-15 mins. Really the whole show was just next level “oh wow, they took it there” greatness. An older gentleman told me on the way out that the show was the loudest he’d heard since early My Bloody Valentine.
Today I’m currently sitting in the Chattanooga Airport to board a flight to DC to see Massive Attack! Ahhhhh I can hardly contain myself!!! Does anybody who has seen them know if they have an opener? It looks like not which is fine with me. The Anthem looks like an amazing venue, and my brother and I are planning on getting there as early as possible to get as close as possible!
Then on Friday, I’m going to have King Crimson show me what the Ryman is all about!!! 2nd Crimson show and 1st Ryman show!!!
Then on Sunday I’m taking my new lady friend to see Ride!! She doesn’t really go to a lot of shows but I’m thinking that will be a great one to show her what I do with my spare time! Can’t wait to see if the sound as good indoors as they did at Shaky Knees a few years ago.

Good to hear about Stereolab; I was on the fence about seeing them tomorrow night, but your review makes it more appealing now.
Per other show reports, the "opener" for Massive Attack is a crappy compressed playlist of 1998 chart-toppers. I'll be there tonight too, but plan on hanging in the back to get a better overview of all the visuals.
Caught Maggie Rogers last night. Mad props to her lighting and set designers, because they fucking killed it! Maggie is a great performer herself, but the lighting really took the show to the next level.

Massive Attack overwhelmed my being last night. Oh my oh my oh my. I haven’t heard a band sound that good maybe ever. Are DC crowds always such stuck up stiffs? Never seen so many disinterested looking douchebags stand statue still to some of the deepest grooves I’ve ever heard. LOL it cracked me up for real but was weird and disappointing that nobody around my brother and I were anywhere close to our energy level. Walking around all the monuments tripping sack till 2 in the morning was just a beautiful cherry on top. Ahhh such an amazing night!!!

Where in the venue did you stand? I was on the floor more towards the back, and plenty of people were grooving to it. Also, with a few exceptions, people remained attentive throughout, which isn't always guaranteed with this type of show.

I walked into the Frankie Cosmos show last night, and Kevin Barnes of Of Montreal was playing bass for the first of two opening acts. It was such an unexpected and pleasant surprise! They're called Locate S,1 and were really good, and Frankie Cosmos were great too! .
Also, I second how good the Raconteurs have been on this tour. I don't know what I was expecting, but they exceeded all my expectations.

They've been some good ones recently! We'll be down there with a group around 7. Can't freaking wait.

God damn, I think that Thom show was the best show all year. Having the new album, being closer, and being able to dance (no seats at Stage AE), made it a significantly more enjoyable show for me than Cleveland. They're firing on all cylinders, and Thom was having a blast. I can't say enough good things about this. It's hard to rank them, but I think this beats out The National, Bon Iver, Tyler, Vampire Weekend, and Tame for best show of the year for me. I'm also biased. Dawn Chorus breaks me open. Every song was beautiful, and the old Eraser stuff has just transformed and grown with the newer tracks. Unmade was the perfect closer in the double encore. I can't wait to see them again at ACL.

Cornelius touring his 2002 album Point was one of the most impressive combinations of live audio and visuals I've ever seen. Him and his three-piece backing band are impressive on their own, super tight and had no problem switching between his lighter pop material, noise rock, ambient, electronica and bossanova, but the light show really pulled everything together.
It was also really nice to see a full album performance that wasn't just the album front to back. They wove in a lot of similar material from his other work and the setlist had a really nice flow.
Stereolab last night. Vampire weekend at red rocks tonight. Charli tomorrow. Then the comet is coming, Peggy gou and kink and Ben ufo playing for 5 hours. Wtf is this week

I really can't put it into words and feel like I'm still digesting it, but the sound and the lights at that Bon Iver show were something else. Glad I caught a L-ISA and mirrors show. It was very immersive, and, maybe save Radiohead and Frank Ocean's last tour, the best sound I've ever heard at a show. Especially from the floor of the Schott. Worth the drive, kind of missed the old setlists, but the new stuff sounded great. Jenn Wasner's vocals and presence added a whole other element and dimension to the sound and vocal harmonies too. Loved it. Definitely worth catching for the L-ISA sound alone, especially if you like I,I. And Woods with Justin solo was breathtaking. Oh, Lump Sum and re: stacks were freaking sweet too. www.setlist.fm/setlist/bon-iver/2019/value-city-arena-at-the-schottenstein-center-columbus-oh-239c446f.html

Agree with all this. Easily the best Bon Iver show I've seen (3rd time, though the first two were from the literal back row of the balcony and in a rainstorm) and might be my favorite show of the year so far (still have Tool and fka Twigs next month)
Just saw Wilco do two nights in Boston. For those considering doing both nights when they come to your town (if you're in one of the multiple night cities), they did mix things up a bit, with 11 songs unique to the first night and 9 unique to the second. Still, don't expect two very different shows, like you might get from them at Solid Sound Festival or from a multiple night stand from MMJ, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, or any jam band.
They did the same 8 songs from the new album both nights.
They've added more noisy rave-ups to the arrangements than I've ever heard before (shows #13 and #14 for me).
If you're a Wilco fan in NYC, Austin, Twin Cities, or Chicago, and time and concert budget allow, it's worth catching multiple shows.
The upside and downside to the live Wilco experience is their absolute consistency in concert, especially with the current lineup, unchanged since 2004. They're always very, very good, but you'll never walk out of a Wilco show feeling like they completely outdid themselves and that you just witnessed one of their best shows ever.
