And at $80 bucks its gonna be a steal. This is just the tip of the iceburg. How I wish I lived in Portland again. Sometimes.
Has anyone been to this? I am seriously contemplating going this year, as I have been trying to book a trip to Seattle for over a year and I think that this would be a good time to see the city and check out the festival.
The line-up is a good start, and I think that they will add a bunch more names, especially comedy people before it is all said and done.
Anyways, just wondering if anyone has attended and what was their general opinion.
Bumbershoot is awesome! I have never been to Bonnaroo, but I imagine they are similar in that music is just part of the festival. The best thing to do at Bumbershoot is to just try something out like a comedy show (which are hard to get into so get there early), but they also have a short film festival, which never dissapoints, flatstock (custom concert poster art), a craft fair if that's your thing (it is actually really unique and cool), great food, street performers, intimate performances (last year a guy was just handing out passes to go see Andrew Bird in a small 100-200 seat venue, it was really cool) and lots more. Definitely worth it, especially at $80 for all three days. The worst thing about Bumbershoot is trying to decide what you really want to see and what you are willing not to see to see it. If that makes sense.
