I hope that I'm not talkinng trash about any of you fine folks but.....
Did the flute-playing guy annoy anyone else? He got right in front of us at Dubconscious's Thursday set and played the hell out of it. He followed us around a vendor's stand while alternating flute and witty comments on Friday. (he was obviously bugging the hell out of the guy who was running the stand.) He kept walking past us while we were trying to watch The Roots, playing along with the music on Sunday.
Don't get me wrong. He was a pretty good flautist an all but, it got old...and quick. Especially when I was trying to watch and listen some of the bands. I'm glad that he can play the flute so well but, I didn't pay to hear him do an impromtu 'guest spot' while actual bands were trying to play.
Maybe I'm a scrooge but, he was really bugging me by Sunday.
Anyone else? (or am i just an asshole)
hahaha that guy was hilarious...the first eight times he played the flute next to us on thursday. I believe he was next to us at biscuits but..i couldnt hear him at that concert. Dub was awesome thursday night. i was standing right next to the right speaker the whole time. i almost went deaf

Dub was great thursday night we were on the left side of the stage. getting ready to go to karl denison and ivan nevelle tonight and michael franti solo tomorrow. it is a tough life we lead...lol.
I'm so bummed my school schedule wouldn't allow me to get down to GA for this festival. The line up was so kick ass. I'm glad every one had an amazing time though, I hope I can make it next year!

all ready ready for next year
Me too! It usually takes me a little while before I'm ready for another Roo but, the day after I got home, I was ready for another Echo trip!
Yeah, I hope they do another one. I don't know what their financial situation is, but they did a great job with that festival. I don't know why more people didn't show.

I personally thought that when compared to a Roo line-up their ticket prices were too high. That is the reason I didn't go.
Maybe they will re-think that next year. I would like to go but can't really afford the equivalent of Roo tickets twice in one year.

I thought the ticket prices were right on target for what you got. I paid about $140 for my early bird ticket once you add on the shipping and fees. That's about what Langerado cost, but that didn't include camping. Unless you were one of the lucky few who managed to get an early bird for Roo, then Roo was a lot more (but sooooo worth it).
$140 for three full days including camping is not unreasonable. Tickets for IT were that much four years ago, and that was only one band (albeit, one really awesome band), and two days of music.

Yeah you are right I was comparing it to Roo early bird prices because I have never paid more than that for them. I am a single mom so every penny makes a difference for me

i think they should change it to the all good format with a big stage and a small side stage. i dont see how they can keep that big of a fest going with such a small turnout. but i hope that it comes back in some for or another because it was a blast! i cant wait for next year!

While I do love the multi-stage format Echo had this year, I'd much rather see them go AllGood stylee than vanish.. The multi-area system allows for longer sets of the artist you wanna see, but I do love the allgood system too.
which means that a woozie and a chilly were just out of frame.
Actually, I think that wooz, chilly and myself were over at the first tent (the one to the left were the duo played) when bubbles went to get those beers.....
Oh, then maybe I haven't got you yet... I know that's Bubbles in the shot with the girl in the red and black dress ... where are you?
Right after it shows that echo sculpture with the crossed hammer looking things, be looking inthe background for a guy with a brown shirt and light brown hat with sunglasses walk in the background, it just a few seconds before bubbles...
