TREE FOR EVERY TICKET For every ticket that is purchased, The Echo Project will plant a tree in some of the neediest tropical areas of the world. As a fan, you can make a difference simply by buying tickets through The Echo Project. Thank you for your support!
I bought an early bird ticket already. I'm not 100% sure I can go yet, but figured once the prices go up I'll have no trouble selling it if I have to. This way it's already paid for and I don't waste the money on something else, like food. It's about a 9 hour drive for me. I just don't know yet if I can take off work. Shouldn't be too much of a problem, I hope.

A Thievery Corporation addition would make it even more perferct! Of course I love Les, but I saw him in June. So, while I would love for both to be added, Thievery Corporation is what I'm keeping my fingers crossed for!

Not really sure where you are coming from here. When Bonnaroo first started, it was promoted almost entirely by word of mouth, and it went over pretty well. They have a website for this, and I'm pretty sure that word is getting around, at least in Atlanta. I know I have heard about it from a couple of people in the last couple of days. I don't really see a lot of evidence that it is poorly run. They have a pretty good line-up already and word seems to be spreading pretty quickly. Plus, from what I have heard, they have a ten-year lease on some pretty nice land already. I'm sure there will be logistical issues that will need to be worked out over the years, but that was also true of Bonnaroo. Maybe I'm overly optimistic (although not generally), but personally, I think this is going to be great.

i really dont see how any type of traditional advertisment would help a fest like this. most people will find out about it from the websites of the artists playing. plus phil and friends is there. thats all the advertising a fest needs. i hope to make it. its just so damn far away. over 26 hours and a shitload of gas. but the lineup is crazy. im pretty sure it will be well over 10,000 people. the place holds 40,000. i dont think it will sell out but i expect 20 -25 thousand atleast. this type of lineup advertises itself. where would you advertise anyhow? maybe bring in tool, the police, and the white stripes to get some radio time? no thanks. i hope to see some of ya there!
the biggest complaint i have is that the killers are billed above phil. thats crazy. seems like they should be below 8 or 9 of the bands.

I agree. I'm not complaining that they will be there, but top billing? I'm not sure if they are an appropriate headliner for the type of crowd this fest will most likely draw. I guess we'll just have to wait and see who else they add.
nope im not gonna be able to make it the mountains at all good killed my transmission and after fixing it i need to save some money. i cant believe im gonna miss it but i am. the thought of possibly making it to echo project makes me feel slightly better.

We are hoping you make it! Jesus says, if you can go to Langerado, you can come down here for this!
edit: He also wanted me to call you a girl thingy, but I'm nicer than he is!
i really hope to make it. it would be great to meet both of you. plus that lineup is insane. i cant wait to see a schedule. if moe and umphreys are latenights i will hitch hike and sneak in if i have to ;D and thanks for not being a boy thingy and calling me a girl thingy

To Alyroo: Ask your husband if he was able to go back in time, would he/could he skip the first Bonnaroo. If that doesn't make him understand how important this could be, nothing will.
To the Dude: As far as latenights go, there doesn't seem to be any shows later than 2am. (super trippy, riverside sunrise session?) If you do decide to drive down, you can crash here and then caravan in with us. If you miss this, you'll never forgive yourself.....and I won't forgive you either. I know that sh!t like this can be hard to pull-off, especially being so close to Roo, but it's going to be LEGENDARY! (If it wasn't for Hilari's family agreeing to call our tickets 'birthday presents', we would be screwed too.)
I'm not going to break your balls on this, but we really hope that you can make it. Please, let us know.

Just tell him I said you should go. How could he say no to that!
Dammit! I told him you said so and he just muttered something about money and our good friends wedding.
grrrr.
Can't they get married another weekend? Some friends they are. We may need to get some help from Corncat for this one. Tell him CORNCAT says you should go! How can he argue with the almighty Corncat! ;D
Here's my conundrum.... I REALLY want to do this fest, but my car would not likely survive another trip to Atlanta. I am looking to buy a new car, but this would likely sap the accounts to the point that I wouldn't be able to afford to go anyway. I hope everyone has a great time and I want to hear all about it when you get back. As a lifelong Cubs fan I'm very used to saying, "Maybe next year..."
kliph (flaming lips drummer). said he hasn't even heard of it. but sometimes i think he's probably the last one to know since he's not a full official member. but if they add claypool and flips i will be there.

Just bought tickets for my son and I. So totally stoked. We should plan a meet up for a show like Mule at Bonnaroo. Any word on when they will be opening for camping and will it be car camping like at Bonnaroo or hike camping like at All Good?

Accirding to Polltar.com, Man Man has also been added to the line-up. It's not on the band's myspace page or official website yet, but I thought that I should pass it on.

I bet they'll add the logistical information after the 'early bird' tix are gone.

They've added Thievery Corporation, Les Claypool, the Bravery, Secret Machines, MSTRKFRT, JJ Grey & Mofro, Son Volt, the Egg, the Album Leaf, Man Man, Tea Leaf Green, the Benevento-Russo Duo, Lazaro Casanova and Telepath.
Where did you see this? As far as I can tell, the official site hasn't changed. I do see Thievery Corporation and Telepath on the Jambase lineup and Man Man on Pollstar, but I don't see any of the others. . .
edit: nevermind. . . see next post
