not just that, but they're playing right before Pearl Jam. It's like they took my Bonnaroo dream and moved it 900 miles away and made it cost a lot more money.

^^It doesn't, and they might not. It looks like they might be one of the preheadliners though which makes it possible, and that's enough for lovesick MMJ/PJ fans who wish this were happening at Bonnaroo.

Perry announced it on a radio station that they would play right before PJ.

So about when last year did some of the after shows start popping up. I know they are not part of the festival, so they won't be listed on the site, but I was wondering when some of the after shows started officially being announced and ticket sales began?

I may be part of that trend... 6 years too late. But yeah, count on it. I missed the nye shows in sf. That will be the last time I miss something that important. we should just take over a hotel and have shakedown in the parking lot...Who's with me...

If I wasn't already spending the majority of my hard earned money on Bonnaroo I'd be down for some Lolla action. Unfortunately it just isn't feasible for me. Maybe I'll somehow win free tickets and hotel accommodations. *crosses fingers*
I was planning on going to Chicago this August, but with school starting around that time, I can't go to Chicago. If things had worked out, I would so go to Lollapalooza. A very decent line-up they have set up. However the lineup format on their site is annoying though.

Lolla is Dope! Its a great fest in a completely different way than Roo. Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs are going to be the hilight for me (this will be my third Lolla in a row). Cost can be an issue because it's in a city, but I suggest staying in the Lincon Park area (around Wrigley and DePaul) the hotels here are alot cheaper than downtown. For anyone who hasn't been, give it a shot but keep an open mind.

there a hostel about 2 blocks from the park $40 downtown chicago. kinda sh!tty cause its non smoking and they dont let guys and girls stay in the same room and your room may have other people in it but its nice for 18-20 years old cause its hard to find a hotel that will let you stay
