We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

Luckily I have Uber to fall back on so I'm not just totally screwed, but it's definitely a huge bummer, and the final straw that I definitely need to find a new career
I try not kiss my own ass but I just pulled a 1k day doing 3 jobs on one shift:
The event audio, the output mix to press you can't see, and the record is all on me that day.
That is NOT how jobs are supposed to be broken up but I made it through one of the harshest weeks of my life. Also the message he's putting out there isn't as bad as it could have been. Mental Health is an issue
A lot of you guys know I have a little brother in high school that plays baseball. Today, he and his high school team advanced to the state tournament for the second year in a row. Extremely proud and excited.

love that they get to play at such a beautiful field
state is at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, home of the Rangers Triple-A affiliate and easily one of the nicest stadiums I have ever been too. excited to be back even though it’s projected to be over 100 on both days.

need to check that stadium out
hope the boys can bring it home. how’d they fare last year?

i don’t want to talk about last year, i’ll get PTSD.
Just got a message saying my press application got a green light to review Harry Styles in Antwerp, a concert that's been sold out for over a year and where getting tickets on secondary market is a clicking war. 🥳

Got a big boy job offer! I'll be an engineer at a startup company in downtown Atlanta that makes renewable energy from waste heat. The guy who started the company is the guy that invented the super soaker and he's an absolute genius! I just got to meet him today.
My last day working for Home Depot corporate will be in a few weeks! And I'll finally be able to actually travel to some music festivals next year.
I know a few of y'all know that I've been waiting for a new show and haven't been working for over 3 months now. I had enough money saved to get me to the beginning of August, and have been struggling hard this month.
BUT!! I start work on a new film tomorrow! Got the prep schedule and I'm on it as starting. Got covid tested and sent in my vax proof and headshot for my badge.
Just a couple more weeks of scrimping so we're all good again. I'm so fucking happy.
Oh and it's a Matthew McConaughey movie. Fingers crossed I get a story about meeting him.
I have had no nicotine over the last 3 days for the first time since starting in college nearly 15 years ago.
Still going strong, no nicotine. Not really counting the days but I suppose it’s been over 2 weeks now. Those first few days were a bit sweaty but I haven’t really had any cravings since then. Now it’s more so just keeping my mouth busy by chewing gum.

I just paid off 22000 in credit card debt! Very relieved to get out from under that interest. Hoping to qualify for some of this student loan forgiveness and then I am going to really be in a nice lil place. Headed to CO tomorrow for the magic of the "Church of Jim James" at Red Rocks, then to Summerdance right after that. Feeling pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good about things.

Just got my first paycheck and caught up on all my bills. I didn't realize how much it was stressing me out until it was done. I am so fucking happy right now.
So I finally had an appointment with my new diabetes doctor yesterday, and oh boy am I kinda excited! So I haven’t had health insurance fer almost 15 years, but now that I do have some I may get to try some new diabetic toys! My wife and I very much want to get me on an insulin pump and constant blood sugar monitor, and I’m finally takin’ the first steps! The doc gave me prescriptions fer both that hopefully my insurance will cover.
In the meantime, she hooked me up with a temporary blood sugar monitor that constantly monitors my sugar level! This shit is like six-fi to me! I can see my sugar level on an app on my phone, and don’t have to prick my fingers several times a day! And the monitor will send my phone alerts if my blood sugar is too low or too high!
This shit is the bee’s knees in the cat’s pajamas!
