Apparently what threw off the wankers with the Roll Call packages was running out of certain sized t-shirts.
Sounds like a very similarly frustrating situation, although with a different company. Sounds like we could swoop in and corner the market...
There's a handful of things:
Inside this beautiful, genuine pine box, adorned with a burned-in Avett Brothers design you’ll find the following:
Thirteen 12x12 Two Sided 2013 Calendar & Lyric Prints
Seven 12x12 High Quality Photo Prints
12x12 Exclusive Letterpress Art Print
The Carpenter 180 Gram Double Vinyl Gatefold Package
Exclusive 6-song CD of Demo Recordings from The Carpenter, not available anywhere else!
I also made sure I was one of the first 500 to order so I got some autographed thing and a 7" vinyl of some other songs.
From what I could gather from a few other disgruntled customers there was an issue with the vinyl record pressing, which is why I was fine when the backorder went from September 11th to October 1st and then to October 17th. Whatever....I can be patient...I know Vinyl can be tricky. A littler after the 17th they had the vinyl package back up for sale and it said "In Stock - Ships in 1 or 2 days" which angered me beyond belief. Once it got towards November I started to get really annoyed....mainly at the lack of any respectable customer service. Multiple form letter responses that piss me off more and more.
I have now e-mailed myplaydirect (no help), sent a message to their facebook page (no help), posted on their facebook wall (was told to e-mail them to get my order status....so no help), posting on the Avett Brothers crappy message board (no help) and have even resorted to sending facebook messages to the Avett Brothers manager to see if maybe they can do anything at all.
That's what you get for spending money on the Bluegrass Jonas Brothers.
Yea.....kinda regretting it now unless I can somehow get it worked out soon. It's a clear case of the big corporation they are now attached to not giving a crap about customer happiness.
As I said...the main thing that bothers me so much is the terrible customer service and lack of any kind of notification/response. Also, they e-mailed me a survey asking me to fill out how much I'm enjoying the package I ordered and that sent me over the edge.

Have they already charged your card? Can you cancel your order?

That's the latest issue. After they told me it would be overnighted to me I checked the order status and it said there was an error with my payment. I know it's not a lack of funds. At first I assumed that the issue came about because of something to do with the hurricane/power outages since I think they have offices in NY and that's exactly when the card was supposed to be charged. So it's either a mistake on their part or (i'm now assuming) I made a slight mistake/typo when putting in my info. I doubted this at first because I am usually very, very careful with this stuff but I'm fine with being the reason that the payment didn't work....what I'm not fine with is waiting 8 days to talk to someone so I can find out what the actual problem was and get my package overnighted like they said they'd do.
The day afterwards I always just wish I had someone to cuddle.. my body feels like I got hit by a truck. But that won't happen so.. sigh. whatever right.

Just got lectured by an ignoramous that gay couples shouldn't be given he same tax benefits as heterosexual couples because they can't procreate. Grrrrrr.
Lol, that has to be one of the dumbest arguments on the planet. So then, hetero couples who can't conceive naturally should also be kept from the same tax benefits?

He voted for Ron Paul, ftr.
I'm not quite sure how this applies at all to your story.

Ron Paul is of the "I don't give a sh*t what you do" camp regarding gay marriage.
Say what you want about the old dog, but he feels the gov't should butt out in all aspects, marriage included. His personal belief is that marriage is between a man and a woman, but he's said he wouldn't support legislation that put those terms in the constitution.

Right that was the point of my post. I didn't understand why it was specified which politician/ideology the person supported. Ignorance knows no boundaries.
Unless I completely misread his post and he was implying exactly what I said above..

I think Ron Paul came up because of the irony (or whatever it is, help me here karosko) of this person arguing about how homosexual couples shouldn't receive the same tax benefits as heterosexual couples while also supporting a guy whose main political belief is that the government shouldn't be in your business. One of these things is not like the other.

I think it's safe to say that a vast number of people routinely vote against themselves in Presidential and federal elections. Like all the idiotic low-income families who vote for the Presidential candidate that will cut all their gov't aid that they need to live.
Stupid people get to vote, and that's actually frightening.

Yeah, I read an op-ed before the election that was speculating on how many people who consistently complain about the 47% are people who are actually in the 47% but don't know it.
