This might qualify on the smaller side of GRRs. So my wonderful fiancée is in school again and this year we likely will not be doin’ ‘Roo. But David Byrne is on tour with a routine he is sayin’ may be on par with his seminal concert film Stop Making Sense. So we thought ‘bought Shaky Knees, but that’s right ‘round finals fer her, and he would be the main reason to go. So instead I’m gonna spend bookoo bucks to see him locally and she “just doesn’t understand why I wanna spend that kinda money on a concert.” I’ve tried to explain and I hope this does not become an issue, ‘cause if it does...
I made a delicious batch of burrito filling in the crockpot last night - chicken, four cans of beans, tomatoes, etc - and after eating dinner last night I promptly passed out and never transferred the remainder of food in the crockpot into the fridge. That was like four more meals worth of food.

I'd probably still chance it. It probably stayed warm enough for long enough that it's fine. Just heat it up well before eating it.
...I do have a a tendency to walk on the wild side.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I had considered saving it, but it definitely wasn't even still warm this morning, even with the lid on. It's okay though, next time I will make BETTER burritos, BIGGER burritos! And then I will take over the WOOOOOORRRLLLDDD MUAH HA HAHAAAAA

I accidentally did that with a crockpot of homemade chili. I was the only one willing to chance it (left out until 3am). I heated it up super hot and was fine. It ended up getting tossed regardless since I was the only one willing to eat it. We are so funny as a society...before refrigeration, food would be left out all night and just heated up to over 160 and re-served. When I researched whether I should toss the chili or not the best response with this:
In Ireland, I would say eat it. In American, I would say toss it.
Was going to see Willie Nelson tomorrow with my family. First time ever travelling for a concert (2 hours) and we even got a hotel room. And it got cancelled because Willie has the flu. Get well soon Willie!!
Is it the green and purple? It's actually an old layout that was made an option, but apparently, it automatically changed to that for some people. Regardless, you can switch it. Go to Profile > Edit Profile > Settings > Forum Theme, and choose from the dropdown menu. Default is the standard, but Inforoo Dark is better.

yes - thank you, thank you!
i'm glad it happened now, bc i didn't know about the dark option either. much appreciated!
They're getting rid of the only Taco Bell around me and replacing with a freaking rock climbing gym. Unless they're putting TB on top as your goal for climbing up I don't want it!
I will pout when you don’t buy me something. Bitch it’s not what I wanted even if you do. Whine the restaurant is crowded. Complain the chocolate cake is soggy. Get drunk and throw up in your car. And fall asleep on the sofa watching the bachelor.

And this is why we don't celebrate that hallmark holiday. Fuck that shit.
I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day. We all know it's a made up holiday for the purpose of selling crap, so I don't partake in it. To me, I am treating today like a regular Wednesday.

I used to feel that way, and in some ways I still do. But if anything it's a reason to be a little sweeter and an excuse to have a nice dinner. That's okay with me.

Wow. I didn't know that the nagging sense that all our actions and relationships are ultimately insignificant in the scope of the vast emptiness of time got replaced.

RIP In Peace LD's relationship 2012-2018
jk I know she has to be on board.
We're going to the Cape for the weekend in the near future. I told her to pick out a nice place for dinner and I'd take her.
She also asked me the other day about flowers. The grocery store flier advertised a dozen roses at $30 and she asked me if that was a good price. I told her it was less than half that around our anniversary three weeks ago. I told her if she wants flowers, wait until March when the price goes back to normal.
It's not being cheap, it's being fiscally rational.
We don't typically celebrate Valentine's Day either. We try and do random sweet things "just because"...
This morning I had JR pick up some Children's Tylenol after dropping off our daughter at school because our son was home with a fever... He came home with the Tylenol... And grocery store flowers and car air fresheners (because I love me a good car air freshener and just bought a new car)... It was unexpected, but super sweet. He gets me.

I’ve looked at so many sofas online that my eyes are starting to cross. And I don’t even really like the idea of buying a sofa online but it’s cheaper and when we tried to go shopping in furniture stores last week, I was exhausted after two stores because they are all about selling you some furniture and that wears me out. And I know there are much worse problems to have, but I’m going to complain about this anyway because I can.

Wait 'til you need a matching armchair.
You'd think people would let you pick it yourself, but noooo, everyone's gotta be an armchair quarterback.

I already need an armchair too! I can’t do it, you guys. It’s too much pressure. I’m definitely going to crack.

This is how I've felt this month. JR and I are buying new vehicles and picking models, colors, options, etc to be just how we want them... I suppose there are worse problems to have than picking out your brand new car, but it's still stressful AF.

There's something to be said about having a wealth of options at your disposal causing you to lock up. The ladyfriend bought a couch last year. She casually looked for a bit, but when it came time to seriously look, we went to two stores. At the second, she found one she liked and that was in her range and bought it right then without looking at any more stores. She knew she could go on forever if she tried to find a perfect one.
