i just read this whole thread...long but awesome read. i wish i would've discovered bonnaroo and inforoo beforehand when this thread was started. i used to live in tullahoma (just outside of manchester) so i have friends that i stay with every time i visit and i'm sure they would have been down to meet kramer. i hope hes there at Bonnaroo in 08, it would be cool to meet him.
I'm thankful for kind people who are willing to help people like Kramer out...it's what keeps the world going.
That being said, I have a big problem with people having animals for which they cannot appropriately care (meaning feeding, watering, sheltering and providing veterinary care). Animals are not things to be passed from human to human -- they are living, breathing beings who rely on us and form attachments to us. This kind of story really bums me out.
We need to find her!!!! I'lll help... I live in the woods....
i read this whole thread last night at like 3 in the morning. it had its ups and downs. i was happy people were being so nice. then i got mad when people starting bitching about people being nice. then i started to see both sides of the stories. and i was split on which side to take [even though this is from like 2 years ago!] and then this quote came. and i laughed out loud for like 20 minutes. so, karma to you mr. sascwatch.
but seriously, this was a pretty good story to follow. wish i was around when it actually was happening.

if it does, i really want to meet him. I've dished out a few slices of karma on account of this thread. Good stuff.
I would like to meet him also. There are those who think Kramer was a bum, taking advantage of the kindness of others. I didn't see him like that at all. To me he represents what Bonnaroo is all about. He does not live his life by someone else's rules. He does what he wants when he wants. He didn't demand help from us, he just asked. There is nothing at all wrong with asking. If we don't want to help fine, just allow those who want to, to do so without all the bickering that took place last year. I truly envy the man. I know there will probably never be a time when I could just go off and travel the nation. I'm too responsible, too conservative. The only chance I get to feel a bit of Kramer's freedom is once a year, for 4 days in June. ;D
Most of the folks that i've seen post, " *shakes fist* he's a god damn bum!!" seemed to not read the thread or overlooked a lot of information.
The guy's intentions were beyond solid for round one. He had some work lined up and a plan that happened to fall through. But he wung it thanks to the kind folks like Joel and Tiene.
We've all heard stories of folks hitchhiking across the country to follow the dead and shit, and it's nearly impossible to do so now-a-days, but it is conceivable thanks to the kind hearts of kindfolk like Joel and Tienne, as well as the majority of the Bonnaroovians. It happens quite a bit: the roo takes over Manchester, but most of the time the story doesn't get captured. It just so happened to be that Kramer touched the lives of Inforoo Moderators so we get the privilege of knowing about this.
Then round two, Kramer walks back to Manchester to meet back up with his new friends. Kramer is an exception. Straight up. He's obviously special folk.
Most of us would like to wing it like he does for a couple of weeks out of the year (or more), and this guy just goes for it.
dmbfan - you truly rule. Someone needs to start selling some Camp Kramer merch right now, and donate the proceeds to those kids!
If he IS camping out in advance again, I can actually set this up. I already sell shirts etc. online so it wouldn't be hard for me to make a Kamp Kramer store to help this guy out. Is there still interest?
I was skimming this thing again and saw where some folks where bashing cause of the dog, I guess they dont remember that the dog's original (sorry azz) owner abandoned her at Kramers tent while they werent there. It wasnt like he had the dog, someone left her and he just let her hang out.
Anna has her now.
I never heard from or saw Kramer this past year (2008). Well maybe, I thought I saw him one night in the wal mart parking lot, but when I circled back the guy was gone, so hes like a hippie ninja I guess....
