ok, this is mine for right now. this was HARD. mostly because i focused on the MUSIC i wanted to hear as opposed to the SHOWS. the late night acts will be in limbo up until i get to the farm. i'm so confused as to who will have the better dance-til-dawn show.
1) Sigur Ros 2) BB King 3) Allman Bros 4) Plant/Krauss 5) The Raconteurs 6) Rober Randolph's Revival 7) Cat Power 8) Ghostland Observatory 9) Kanye West 10) Yonder Mountain
after reviewing this list, i can safely say it will change in about 5 minutes. honestly, i'm trying not to get too excited about more than about 3-5 bands. i don't want to be severely disappointed when the schedule comes out and a zillion people i want to see conflict

Phil Lesh & Friends The Allman Brothers Band Kanye West The Disco Biscuits Pearl Jam Levon Helm and the Ramble on the Road Robert Plant and Alison Krauss featuring T Bone Burnett Chromeo (i don't know why, i just want to see them) Yonder Mountain String Band Talib Kweli
this isn't in any particular order except maybe the top 3 or 4. And is most definitely tentative.
1. Metallica 2. Allman Brothere Band 3. My Morning Jacket 4. minus the bear 5. pearl jam 6. plant and krauss 7. ZPZ 8. Phil lesh and friends 9. jack johnson 10. rilo kiley

ok, i don't "get" gogol bordello. having seen videos of his shows, i'm excited to see him for the fun aspect. it will make people dance, and he's a crazy eastern european. but i'm sorry, for me, his music is just kinda crappy as far as vocals and whatnot. to me he's not good music, he's a good show.
I have no idea if this is accurate, cuz I did the damn thing 3 times. It's close though.
1. State Radio 2. Sigur Ros 3. My Morning Jacket 4. Pearl Jam 5. Disco Biscuits 6. Umphrey's McGee 7. The Raconteurs 8. Robert Randolph 9. Allman Bros 10. Jack Johnson

Exactly! They're the anti-sigur ros. Lofi music that's hella fun and will get the crowd pumped up. Sigur ros has an unbelievable and highly sophisticated sound and they're great to listen to, but all you'll see are people standing around at the show with their hands in their pockets.
I've never been to a show of their's but every video I've seen of their live sets look like an outdoor dentist's convention. Gogol Bordello is the mirror opposite.
I'd rather listen to Sigur Ros while I'm at work, but at a live show Bordello wins my vote. But seeing as how this is bonnaroo we're talking about, I'll check em both out, provided there are no conflicts of course.

i think you're a little off when it comes to sigur ros. no, people will not be jumping around and getting sweaty from dancing. but they WILL be having their minds blown by the sheer epic nature of a sigur ros show. i haven't met anyone who has seen them live who has told me it was anything less than amazing. they're my number one must-see.
gogol and sigur ros is just comparing apples and oranges. of COURSE you won't be listening to sigur late into the night. that's what gogol is for

I picture a radiohead 06 kinda vibe. You know, jaws dropped. Amazed. Bordello is an amazing fun show, too.

i was at that radiohead show. i expect it to be on par with it as well.

Eh...(it's a band, not a guy).
I myself am not really into Gogol Bordello, but I know why lots of people are. I used to be really into punk many moons ago, and would've been down with this for sure in that day. This is not to say that my taste has improved, it's just changed. I dig Gogol Bordello, but I'm not a fanboy. And I sorta know what austin means...I'd imagine a lot of other people feel the same (or worse).
Haha, no, not at all. I just see both sides of the coin with them. I remember being a punk, and liking certain bands, and everyone else being like, "dude, that sounds like ass." Some people love it, some just don't dig it at all. I'm neutral.
1. Talib Kweli 2. Pearl Jam 3. Lupe Fiasco 4. Robert Plant and Allison Krauss 5. B.B King 6. The Allman Brothers 7. State Radio 8. O.A.R 9. Kanye West 10. Minus the Bear 11. Against Me! 12. Phil Lesh and Friends 13. My Morning Jacket 14. Willie Nelson 15. Robert Randolphs Revival 16. Metallica 17. Jack Johnson 18. Zappa Plays Zappa 19. Jakob Dylan 20. The Raconteurs 21. Vampire Weekend 22. !!! 23. Ben Folds 24. Dark Star Orchastra 25. Death Cab For Cutie

Noteable Mention: Jose Gonzalez, Ghostland Observatory, Yonder Mountain String Band, Black Kids, Comedians, Broken Social Scene, Pearl Jam, Lupe Fiasco, O.A.R

Leaving out Headliners I have:
1) MMJ Late night at the Which stage!!! I will be fully rested and in the front for this show. I will also be listening to Evil Urges on the entire trip down to TN. 2)Levon Helm - A little dirt farmer w/ some of The Band's classics thrown in? No way I'm missing this. 3)Robert Plant & Alison Krauss On a Sunday, when I'm exhausted I will relish the chance to see these two legends perform. Superjam eat your heart out. 3)Gogol Bordello - Gypsy punk? Yes please. 4)Battles - Generalstore likes him some math rock and Warp is my favorite label. 5)Yonder Mountain - Need some bluegrass. 6)Tegan & Sara - Can't pass up two of the most adorable girls on the planet. 7)MIA - Gots to get my grove on. 8)Willie Nelson - Laying on a blanket in the back, enjoying some corn, with Willie on stage... A perfect moment. 9)Back Door Slam - New to me, but I really dig their sound. 10)Little Feat - Even though they are more like a cover band at this point, I still grew up listening to Waiting for Columbus, and I can't pass em up in a festival atmosphere.
There are still a couple of dozen acts that I want to see. I could care less about additions at this point cause there are already more shows I want to see than I could catch even if there were two of me.

i watched the sigur ros documentary "heima" last night. not that i didn't already believe it, but i'm seriously expecting to come out of their show changed. i also want to go to iceland. the pure, untouched nature of their country is almost unbelievable.

OK, today I'm really going to the video store. I think I discovered Sigur Ros on Amazon, they had some free downloads on there, but haven't listened in a long time. I'm ready to refresh my memory.

the dvd is GREAT. it shows them going from small town to small town just playing at pubs, in fields, acoustic...its amazing. and they do interviews with the members in between...they seem like such genuine people, and it makes you love the music so much more.
the ending will blow you away. i was watching it just thinking about what it will be like to see it at Roo. simply epic.
