Morrissey also just announced a North American with an interesting gap in the schedule: 06-09 Las Vegas, NV - Pearl 06-30 New York, NY - Madison Square Garden
Fill in the dots if you want to or toss it off as more empty speculation.
empty speculation....possibly, but goddamn would i love some Moz!

Hey now, Cleveland is bigger then columbus.... Plus, rock and roll hof.
i know, i just love to give Cleveland a hard time when ever possible, i gots a bunch of friends who live there, and they always are bitchin about how no good shows come thru there.....(which is not true, they just are music-retarded!)
^^^I'm not so sure he's big enough to headline Bonnaroo or any other major festival. It's like saying Stephen Malkmus could headline Bonnaroo. It's not going to happen unless they're fronting their bands.

I thought he's headlined that "move" festival before, which had some pretty big names. Cleveland definatly gets some pretty good acts, better than columbus, and columbus isnt that bad.
Columbus is larger than Cleveland. I think number nine in the population. But, that god damned jerk who killed Dimebag and a slew of others ruined the growing concert scene in Columbus. A lot of bands dont want to go there anymore. Promowest is a great venue.
Last time I saw Morrissey (about 3 years ago) he didn't even sell out a medium sized venue, plus he doesn't play nearly long enough to fill a headlining set. I would love to see him suck it up and do a tent latenite though, or maybe the same latenite slot and stage that Trey did 2 years ago.

^^i saw Morrissey a couple of months back here in Chicago, and it was completely sold out, and tickets were getting top-dollar as well. His show was plenty long, a little under two hours (maybe more?) It was an absolutely amazing show, everything i could have imagined, plus some. I love me some Moz!
**edit** i agree with the late nite tent show, that would be amazing, but i dont see it EVER happening. I would really enjoy an afternoon set ( i.e. Bright EYes 06)

as much as i love the smiths and the solo morrissey stuff the thing is that morrissey seems to have a bit of an ego...he would want to headline
Thats what i was refering to, i said he'd want to headline, not that he should. ;D I should've worded it more clearly. And for columbus, i just meant the whole scene was bigger then columbus. Cleveland gets bigger shows, and i personally prefer the attractions of the city of cleveland over columbus, but thats just personal preference. But cleveland definatly gets more good shows, thats a fact.

I was there too. It was a great show! I can't wait to see him 3x in May. If he gets added to the roo... i'll probably die of happiness and you'll see every tooth in my mouth cause i'll be smiling that big.
Hey guys, some news from Louisville, KY. A good friend of mine ran into Jim James at a restraunt and asked about bonnaroo. Jim said they wernt planning on it and were gonna take the year off from ROO. Hopefully he's playing some mind games, but if not it looks like no MMJ at bonnaroo this year.

I'm not sure what the real discussion here is, but from my personal experience, Cleveland gets a lot of shows that I wouldnt go near (eg, pop, rap, and flavor of the month artists), whereas columbus gets a lot more shows that I would care about and want to go to.
Also, just from my experience, Columbus is a lot nicer and cleaner than Cleveland, or any other Ohio city, for that matter...save maybe Akron. Cleveland, Cincinnatti and Dayton are all pretty dirty and run-down looking.
But like I said, I dont even know what the discussion is here. I was just tossing in my own tidbits.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club would be a good addition. The only open date they have is the 17th, and they will be in Texas on the 16th. Also, that's the last date of their tour as well. They could easily go to the roo.
If Bonnaroo was held in Manchester England instead of Manchester Tn. Morrissey could headline all 3 nights. He is the freakin pope of mope on the other side of the atlantic. At Bonnaroo he would most likely be given a three or five o'clock set on the main stage. This would not be enough to fuel his ego
I don't believe Moz headlined at Coachella when he played. I would love to see him but i don't think he would fit as a pre headliner this year, maybe headlining Which.
Since its lookin like Umphrey's wont be there i'd like to see Perpetual Groove get invited back.
Definitely!! Saw P-grove at Zippy's a little after Thanksgiving in NC and has been one of my favorite shows. One of the best light shows I've seen as well. They did a sick cover of Funky Town. I would love to see them again.

I hope they're there, kinda like Umphrey's Lite. They have a new album out too, so maybe we'll get lucky and see them there. No dates from 5/11 to allgood.
