^^^I think you'd really like the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, if you haven't heard of them before. It's a 9-piece band out of Chicago (8 brass and 1 drummer). All the brass players are sons of the great Phil Cohran. They owe just as much to hip-hop and funk (and the AACM) as they do to second line and big band. A nice twist, and pretty good tunes.
