Who are we PMing cell numbers to? I was right in front of the bathroom and showers last year in the very back. Closer to the VIP tent would be great. What time is everyone getting to check in? Should we say right at 10am?
PM cell # to idioteque and yes, I think shooting to get there right at 10 am would be best if it's doable for any/everyone....the line will ONLY get worse as the morning/afternoon goes on....unless they drastically change the system.

i can try to troll through this list and see who is going VIP, but if you guys just pm me with your name and number, ill throw a list together (or is someone else already doing this?).
I nominat ideoteque to make the list, he volunteered after all...
I hope to be checking in at the HIE around 10ish. Looking at Google Earth there is a building with a large parking lot down the road from the HIE ( a school maybe?), might be a good place to meet after check in....
Well...I have a friend who actually owns a farm in Coffee County...I've teased her that she needs to turn it into a campground during 'Roo and make some extra $$$....I'll have to find out exactly where it is ....we could always meet there

Thank you, I will PM idioteque the number. I think if anyone has an inforoo shirt, they should wear it. Anything that makes ID'ing other members would be helpful. I will be easy to ID. Just look for the 6'4'' 255 pound guy wearing a Kilt. Maybe we should also give info on the vehicle we will be driving, make, model, color and state plate. All my info is sent.
LOL! Karma for being 6'4" and wearing a kilt! ;D And for being from the twin cities! I spent a bit of time up that way several years back on business...LOVE that area...don't think a Southern girl like me could stand the cold for that long but I really thought Minneapolis/St Paul were the prettiest and cleanest cities I had ever been to! I was working in the Arden Hills area.....

That's cool. We live in Anoka county in the city of Andover. That is just to the west and north a bit from where you were. I like it here too, but this winter has tried my patience. The lakes in the northern part of the state still has 14" of ice on them. The fishing opener is in about two weeks. No way they will ice out in time. I'm actually looking forward to some serious Tenn. heat. I'm not sure if the kilt is a good idea. If there is dust like last year, My Azz could be in for a bad weekend.
so thanks to everyone that pm'ed me so far - i actually just went through this thread and picked out the 78 (!!!!) people that said they were going VIP and will send a mass PM with a request for info.
i fear my inbox!
also, i was in section F last year - but section E seems a bit better since it's between the showers and food. but the nice thing of where we were was watching the screens on the main stage from our campsite. maybe we should have a VIP poll? I dunno - I'd probably rather be in F again...it was pretty sweet.
and bunny - thanks for pointing out the obvious the official VIP meetup should be at the vip party. no brainer!
once its closer to roo, ill up this list as a pdf to sendspace and send everyone a link. might be good to have a second printout for your dashboard / campsite to ID it as well...
This is our first Roo, thanks for idioteque for putting the list together. I am getting way excited. Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Question, I will be coming from Fayettville TN (dropping off our son at grandma's) and wondering if anyone has a best route to Manchester, should we be coming up Hwy 55 from Tullahoma is this the best way and what time should we leave to get there around 10... Also my brother is flying into Nashville and staying with my parents in Murfreesboro Wed night.. what time should he leave??

Any suggestions would be great!
YES! To the 55 question...avoid Interstates at ALL cost if possible..... I am from Huntsville and take 231 to 55/50 straight in through Fayetville, Lynchberg and Tullahoma(ish ) and it isn't bad....till you hit Roo traffic IN Manchester! LOL! From Fayettville you shouldn't have any trouble if you leave an hour and a half early to get to the HIE....if you leave more than that I think you will just be sitting in traffic waiting for them to get started handing stuff out and won't really make much diff....like I said you won't hit the traffic till you get to Manchester.....
As for the bro in Nashvegas....he'll be coming in 24 I suppose....don't have a clue for that I would think as early as possible on Thur would be his best bet.....
I was looking at the map and wondering if my brother coming from Murfreesboro would be better off coming down 231 to Shelbyville and cutting across to 55 to Tullahoma and then coming up to Manchester??

From Murfreesboro, your brother should just take 41 south directly into Manchester. We take that route and never have any problems. Is he in VIP also? If so, he will get driving directions with his tickets. It shouldn't take more than an hour.

did not even see that! thanks. Yes is is coming VIP as well. We plan on meeting at the HIE or somewhere close to it...

Cant come this year, but thought I'd pipe in here. I think that's the exact route they give you with your VIP info. We had no traffic and rolled right into the HIE.
We come from the 'boro as well, and we've followed the provided directions for vip for the past 2 years and the drive has actually been really pleasant and scenic. We've only caught traffic about a mile from check-in.
...i was going to post a pic of the scenery, but imageshack isn't working
I will be in VIP this year, along with my niece and 2 other friends. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Just 39 days now!!!
By the way, we'll be staying at a hotel in Murfreesboro on Wednesday night (the fabulous Knights Inn), so if anyone else is going to be around, let's all hang out or something. We should be getting there around 6 or 7 pm.
idioteque, I'll PM you with my contact info for the list.

I'll be in the RV area - not because of an RV, but because I need to bring a 120v power source. I'll have a tent and a large shade structure set up. The hope is that it will have enough room to others to gather round over the course of the weekend.
I am probably going to buy a Honda model #3000is generator for some sleep apnea equipment. Needless to say, the generator is much quieter than is my snoring.... I hope to be be able to get out of the middle to big RV's so that I have a chance to see the screens.
The Honda generator is the one that I have read is probably the quietest one for the power output. I do not want to piss of my neighbors with EITHER the generator, or my snoring. The wife would prefer the constant background of the generator rather than my snoring. I still do not believe that it is that bad. But, I know I could find people who have different memories.
Just think the ability to have real fans running to circulate air. I'll offer recharging service for various electronic equipment to others.
We (and there's 6 of us this year) will be at the Greentree hotel the Wed. night before; then into HIE early Thurs (assuming all these VIP organizational things don't change drastically- I think they are terrified of the same cock-up as last year; or they should be).
The smart thing to do would be to have RV's check in a different spot altogether.
Well I live in Nashville, but I would like an early start in. Also I would like to try to come in with you guys since I am solo. So if anyone has a spare bed at the hotel I would be happy to split a room with someone.
