once again i completely missed an awards show i wanted to watch because i had no idea it was happening. the grammys are my least favorite of the big three but still i enjoy an awards show.
they need to do a better job at marketing the show to the specific corners of the internet i frequent, like inforoo.com and this mens clothing discord i'm in that is an splinter group of a splinter group of an already niche mens fashion subreddit created due to a resentment when one of those mods got fired because he changed the subreddit header without getting the permission of the older mods.
Best songs on this just body everything on Midnights smh
I will never understand Inforoo’s passion for Lana Del Rey. I don’t know if Midnights is the best album of the group nominated, but this one is hands down the most likely to put me to sleep.
And I'll never understand how inforoo likes to label basically everything that's not dance music "sleepy." Admittedly it's not for everyone (which I believe can be said for pretty much any artist) but Lana's last several albums have been objectivity fantastic.
going to give the lukewarm take that LDR has several pretty good albums but this last one was not one of them. The bigger problem is Taylor Swift has not had a good album in a decade.

Folklore was good but this is an emotional truth regardless

Is it too early for Last Dinner Party for Best New Artist?
Wet Leg had one album and played Coachella when they were nominated, Last Dinner Party is in the same boat so I could see them being nominated this year.
also i'm a mild taylor swift fan but really like "Midnights". i know thats annoying to hardcore Taylor Swift fans. the production is absolutely gorgeous and the lyrics are funny and clever, and multiple songs from the album are permanently stuck in my head for better or worse. i own the CD and the vinyl and a t-shirt.
EDIT: for perspective, the only other Taylor Swift stuff i really loved is "1989" and the song "Exile". exile is so good it should be illegal, we should have some government music emotional standards commission or something that says you can't record songs like this that make people feel things too strong.
My wife is a huge Taylor fan and has turned me onto her. I am not ashamed to admit to being her fan. There are far worse artists out there for the music industry to be giving all their awards to

Taylor is good but she hasn’t had close to the best album in any year.

Folklore deserved its win - especially since Fetch the Bolt Cutters and Saint Cloud weren't nominated. (Even if they had been nominated, Folklore was still deserving, though I wouldn't have been mad if any of the three had won.)

I’m not even talking about nominations. Because lots of times it’s not the best albums being nominated.
