Oblivion Access Festival (formerly Austin Terror Fest) is an annual celebration of underground music and culture, which will take place across a three-day, extended weekend from Friday, June 16th to Sunday, June 18th, 2023. Oblivion Access will take over some of the most popular music venues in the renowned Red River Cultural District of downtown Austin—including returning venues, Empire Control Room & Garage, Mohawk, Elysium, Valhalla and Central Presbyterian Church, as well as, new in 2023, Chess Club and 13th Floor, to offer attendees performances from some of the most in-demand experimental, metal and hip-hop acts from across the globe.
Oblivion Access is us. Named after the contemporary classic of Lil Ugly Mane, our goal is to create an experience that goes beyond music. Carefully curated with the highest level of quality in mind, we strive to promote honest music and provide an audience with an inviting safe space to be yourself. In a dissociative world, we must power through with art and self expression to channel our frustrations, pain, and confusion into a beautiful representation of what it means to be alive. To be alive is to experience. Oblivion Access is a platform for progression, self expression, and catharsis. We hope that people walk away from this festival, influenced, attached, and most of all, empowered.

Nice, everything is reasonably centered around Mohawk (unless they change/add some venues).
Haven't drafted up my wishlist yet. Swans seems reasonable, they were supposed to headline 2020 with Carcass, Youth of Today, and Daughters (oof rip). They're touring currently and have an Austin show in September, don't know how much Michael Gira enjoys touring though.

I just saw them a few weeks ago in Madrid and they were amazing still. I just want to see them more and more. Boris was great, too.
I'll be cool with whatever as they have my trust. Just getting excited today.

I figured there would be a price jump when they said it would include the church. Adding $160 to the price last year seems about how much it was then. Assuming the passholders do those shows, it's worth it. Otherwise, I'd hold out for individual tickets when the line-up is announced.

After regret missing the Earth and Tim Hecker shows in the church, I took it as I have to get a pass this year.
High price but I do commend the small team working things behind the scenes. They've consistently gotten artists you wouldn't expect pretty much anywhere else.
So is there a difference between the Blind Faith and Multi-Venue passes? I assume the obvious of not knowing the line-up vs knowing the line-up.
It also seems like the quick turnaround and price hike kinda made people wait this time around.

Pretty ridiculous to drop blind faith tickets right after Levitation released their line up and tickets. I’ll wait till next year.

Thanks for this. I think I was confusing the prices but there definitely was a hike even without the extra tickets.
Just saw Northwest Terror Fest is dropping their initial batch next week. There wasn't much overlap last year (I think YOB was the only one actually) but just excited to know we're getting closer.

1/24 will mark a year so I figure we're getting close to a hint or release. Though I do know the promoters have gotten into some hot water with a booking recently and presale not selling out so no idea how things are behind the scenes.

I’m not too worried but that whole Oxblood thing kinda piqued my interest. I decided to not book flights until I saw a lineup after that. I figured if anything happened, I’d be better off. They should have known better to drop ticket sales a week after Levitation dropped, too.
It’s more of a comment on watching everyone get a line up and we’re still over here waiting.

This isn’t good news for anyone. It’s the venue more so than the show. I was chalking it up to loosing a headliner or something but definitely not loosing a venue.
This may force them to have to say something though.
