I have never seen Dave Matthews Band perform and actually have some small amount of affection for some of their '90s output - not like I had "Ants Marching" on repeat, or anything, but I maybe wouldn't change the station if "Satellite" was played. Would I enjoy a DMB festival set? Is it worth seeing just once?
Well, the band, and also Dave and Tim separately, are known for their live performances. A typical DMB or D&T show will run 3+ hours. If they play two shows back to back at one venue, which they do quite often, they will not repeat a song from the previous night (and most people will go to both nights). In my experience, if you like or are willing to give their generic studio type music/hits a chance, then it is certainly worth giving one of their live shows a chance as that is really what hooks most people.
For Dave and Tim type stuff, I would start here (make sure you have the patience to get to Tim's solo to really see what they are capable of together - that starts at about 2:50):
If that is something your open to or like, I would then suggest giving their Radio City and Luther College shows a shot, both of which are pretty much universally regarded as their best officially released shows.
Radio City is available in fully on youtube in HD: Luther College may be available on youtube in seperate tracks but is also widely available on streaming platforms.
A lot of people prefer the full band, and if you want to give the full band a shot instead or with D&T, then the show that again is near universally considered the best live released show and best for a beginner, is Central Park: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOTmY-rTH6lByXA8sUZWvBHTwt0LaRvwk (this whole show is available on streaming platforms as well).
Finally, if there was one little bit of music that I really feel shows off the full band, it's probably this: (in particular when Dave starts going).
It's really wild to me that Founders has two festivals and the best solution was to have one be JCole/Cudi/Halsey and the other one to have Dave Matthews. I'm guessing the other headliner is in the Jack Johnson or Darius Rucker orbit.
I also guess the upshot here is that in a few more years the perennial Founders faves like The Strokes and Jack White can appear at the washed dadcore fest. (Vampire Weekend is probably already on brand).

Trying to figure out who the other bands. The radio guy said they have the lineup set and he will have ticket info next Thursday. Thinking about band similar to back crowes, janes addition. The event on Friday will have different ticket and they are still working on that and the artist is a he. I think they are involved in booking westvile bowl that’s why I keep think billy strings, heard he is crushing the cap shows.
Also I don’t think there is a single hotel in bridgeport proper lol.

I admittedly think you would like a festival set, the 90s stuff is very much still in the rotation and if you don't want to risk the standalone show, you'll get basically the same with a hint more radio friendly hits
