Thanks! Yeah, I noticed that. I’ll let my friend know. I’m pretty sure he wants better seats than that tho. But I’ll also tell him beggars can’t be choosers. Soooo stoked for tonight!!!!
Those side stage are not even that bad. You will hear it perfectly fine and its not obstruced view per say.

past the fistful of steel moment being back on the floor friday was mad fun. wasn’t worried about rail or anything and spent pretty much the whole show in the pit. wasn’t the roughest pit i’ve ever been in but was very communal feeling and a ton of energy.
back in the lower bowl tonight - time to close this amazing run out.

When you hadnt seen them ever you gotta make up for it somehow.
Damn. They had The Wind Below on the first setlist and changed it.
Friend got a ticket on friday cause she was going to be in NY tonight And was literally blown away. She was never the biggest Rage fan and even passed on me getting her a ticket for the Chicago date. Straight from a group chat. "Ok ok ok, this is incredible. This is easily a top 5 all time show. I dont know why I was almost going to pass on this tour."

wind below would've been pretty tight, but i really can't find it in me to say anything that would come close to a complaint after the last week. had great seats in the front row of a lower bowl section last night and getting a slightly extended show was awesome to close out with. zack seemed pretty loose last night, did band intros during sleep now in the fire which i haven't heard him do before whether at one of the msg shows or a recording. a lot of (seemingly, at least) heartfelt interactions amongst the band members after the show wrapped up - you can tell all 4 of them are glad they're doing this, which is great to see.
it's a pretty special thing when something that you've built up in your mind for years and years and years not only meets but exceeds expectations. when killing in the name started last night, i had the biggest, dumbest smile on my face as it represented the end of the road for what was undoubtedly my favorite run of shows i've ever done, after resigning myself to never seeing them, to losing my shit back in 2019 when they first announced, to the myriad delays, to missing the first night of the tour despite how badly i wanted to go, and then finally going 5 for 5 on the NYC shows and making all up for it.
Whoever threw that bottle in Chicago is the new Steve Bartman.
Wait, what happened?
It was like the 2nd show of the tour in July. Someone losing their shit threw a bottle in the air, it landed on stage and ended up under Zack's foot, which made him trip and tear his tendon.

Holy fuck. I had not heard that. Are you sure? Would have been their second show in Chicago.

Probably can't find the tweet but my buddy sent me a link to the video the night it happened. It was from some RATM fan account I believe. It wasn't thrown maliciously just incredibly stupidly.
Man, am I glad I used all my strength to hold back from booking a weekend in Detroit to see them, Iwasthisclose to doing it at some points. My sympathies to those whose show got canceled, hopefully there will be a 2024 comeback.

Rage Against the Machine bassist Tim Commerford revealed in a new interview with Spin that he’s been living with prostate cancer amid the band’s recent reunion. The 54-year-old said that he’s currently doing well after receiving treatment earlier this year. “I hope there’s one person who reads this and is like, ‘Fuck, I need to get checked out’ when they find out about it,” he said.

I’ve been looking back, reminiscing on the shows I went to this year. I really hope Zack and Tim make a full recovery because man, I’d do anything to see the band again.

When asked about the status of the band, Morello said “We’ll see. If there is to be any more shows, we will announce it as a band. I don’t know. I know as much as you do, honestly. Right now we’re in time of healing.
If Rage Against the Machine was going on a hiatus, Rage Against the Machine would say, “We’re going on a hiatus.” That has not happened.”
