If he plays, an NSYNC reunion should be pretty close to a lock, right? I’d imagine a fair amount of the people who’d but a ticket for JT would be expecting that.
No reason for JT to do N Sync after Ariana decided to step all over it. He couldve flown back to do the performance but since it wasnt him doing the headlining he just said fuck it. NSync needs JT more than JT needs them. You could see that they worked really hard to make sure it was good for Ariana’s set, unlike the rest of the guests spots which were train wrecks. If JT headlined finally, he would just cut out the 45 minutes of Man of The Woods filler and make it into a much tighter and entertaining set. Why not have Nelly Furtado and Timbaland pop up? And Jay Z for that matter.

Jay Som postponed their European dates, which now end on April 8th, the Wednesday before Coachella. It's a quick turnaround but I definitely think they're in play. Their new album is fantastic.
I'm absolutely stoked that Justin Timberlake is playing this. I've been wanting to see him for probably 15 years of my life and wouldn't be the one to buy tickets to a stadium tour for him, so this is a win-win for me.
Ironically I took 5 newbies to Coachella this year, none of which ever cared about or listened to Electronic Music outside of top 40 EDM tracks at bars and they can’t shut up about that Gessa set. I
Same thing happened with my group. I took the most basic of basic folks camping with us to Gesaf and now they are all OBSESSED. Dropping OPR at parties right after Closer or Sicko Mode, it's weird. Now we're all attending together in Denver. I wonder if sales will pick up after the tour starts and word of mouth hits.
I guess it goes to show that big label marketing money can only do so much if the product itself sucks. (album, not live show)
In other news, JT does very little for me, but he obviously deserves the slot and it's been many years in the works. Bummed about no rock again but didn't expect anything different.

To stir Floating Points’ probability, he added a New York on Tuesday, April 14. However, this currently puts him at four days of consecutive shows (SF on April 17), so my guess is if he does play, he’ll be on Sunday both weekends.

So there is someone.
I know, I'm 100% in the minority on these boards with JT but I gotta say, NSYNC or not, he's an incredibly dynamic performer with two decades of hits behind him, not to mention how good his backing band + potential guests are.
I mean he's no Beyonce, but I still think he's a strong choice for a headliner in 2020

He could also just be doing a DJ set in the Yuma.
It’d be egregious for Coachella to book him for just a DJ set when he’s touring a new live show behind an acclaimed album.

His live shows are top notch and I'd expect he'd be putting together something special for Coachella.
Interesting tidbits from Gabi's interview I was just reading:
"Frank Ocean - Radio PS are playing DHL by Frank Ocean while discussing the first time Gabi saw Belle & Sebastian. Gabi leaked that he is booked until Coachella where he is going to end his US 2020 tour, which make sense. If he is the headliner of Camp Flog Naw in a week we should start thinking about having Frank again for the 20 birthday as a present.
Kanye West - excluded categorically. Gabi started by saying that the latest album is mediocre, and then basically said that Kanye has what he called a 'decalogue' of demands that are really hard to ascribe to in a festival setting and that while something like Coachella can build a stage for him only, that's not viable for PS. He said he'd need a stage for himself not to be shared with others, also not an option, an another stage 'for his ego'."
