Maybe I'm delusional, but I'm pretty sure they stated in their most recent AMA that they have something "special planned" for next year's 15th Bonnaroo and have already started booking a few artists. Does this mean an obese lineup for next year? Probably not.
They probably did say that but every year they say they have something special planned. It's called marketing. They are getting people hyped up now for future Roo excitement.
Hey guys we have a really average lineup this year! Hope you are ready for an alright time with bands you like but don't love.

Even though 2011 wasn't spectacular for a 10 year anniversary or whatever, but it did have the blue light drop which was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Mission Icefly. Watched it during Primus. Fucking amazing. That was my first Roo.

The blue light drop wasn't about the Anniversary. It was just a weird marketing thing. Was definitely really cool though. I remember the reactions from everyone around me just pointing up and wondering WTF was going on.

Yeah, what exactly was it? I've only heard very confused stories about it from friends who were there and, from what I've heard, it was very awesome, but that's all I know about it

Google leads me to believe it was for some kind of movie/charity/fundraiser thing. For a while I thought it was promoting gum or something.
Once again we have the debate over "anniversary" and "year."
Next year will be the 15th Bonnaroo. But the 15th anniversary of the first Bonnaroo will be the year after that. For the record, if either of those is important whatsoever (and I kind of doubt it is), it would be the former.
So, it's the 15th anniversary then. When your married 20 years, you have you 20th anniversary.

I'd say them announcing the parties is a good sign there will be addition next Wednesday. They are definitely sticking to the Wednesday announcement thing, because they could have picked any day to announce the parties, so they seem to be stretching it. Plus, it was said earlier here they wouldn't announce during Coachella week and that makes sense. I think we are getting 3-6 more acts and silent disco acts. It wouldn't still say "Many More To Be Announced" at the bottom of the lineup if no one was getting added besides 5 or 6 silent disco dj's. We still have a whole month till the schedule drop, so they gotta give us something in the next 3-4 weeks. I mean, we don't even have Game of Thrones to keep us busy because we already watched the first episodes!

geez dude, no. 20th wedding anniversary, you will have been married for twenty years. but lets assume you had a "wedding" every year on that date. you would have your 21st "wedding" on your 20th anniversary. so celebrating the 15th bonnaroo is not the same as celebrating the 15th anniversary.
edit: i spent a long time debating whether to post that, because I honestly couldn't tell if you were just trolling or not.

It was promoting gum...I got one of the little flying things and it had a QR code on it. It made me do several things for a month or so before it would reveal what it was actually promoting.
It was amazing. I was like "what the f is going on?!!"

This all day. So much... I can't even. UGH. And that is for both the posts. But this is our daily #allstar reminder.

Yea, I get it. People are gonna keep saying it though. We live in word where words aren't used correctly anymore. I can't tell you how many times a day I hear "Can I?", instead of "May I?". You won't ever see Bonnaroo labeling their fest with the word "anniversary". They would just say "15 years of Magic" or something like that.
