I did not realize this came out already, and am seriously considering changing my vote now that I'm listening to it. I loved The God Complex, and this is probably as good.
Grimes - Art Angels Late and doesn't change anything. Paper Mâché will probably end up being the album I listen to more, but goddamn if Art Angels isn't one of the greatest pop records I've ever listened to. It isn't usually a genre I find myself tending towards, but I've been a fan of Grimes for years and this expansion and further exploration is just spot on.
Honorable mentions: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Paper Mache Dream Balloon Floating Points - Elaenia Anna von Hausswolff - The Miraculous
I'm not entirely sure why, but whenever there is voting or any style of bracketed (or otherwise) tournament on this board, I get weirdly involved and excited about the process and outcomes. Example: I look at this thread every single day. Learning about music makes us all winners.
Not that this matters or anything but I just want to state belatedly that Anna von Hausswolff definitely deserves an honorable mention this month - really really enjoyed that album.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I think this month has had some pretty nice releases so far. I'm enjoying Richie Hawtin, Coldplay, Jeremih, Troye Sivan, and R. Kelly so far. Lil Bub was interesting too, I thought it would just be an album of meows and purrs. Sunn O))) and jennylee didn't click with me at all. I'm still looking forward to Pusha T and Cage the Elephant as well.

R. Kelly's album is filthy, and not in a fun way. That slurping he does in the first track is fair warning enough though I guess :S
