Just finished my first listen. The first and last tracks and 30 Hours are my favorites so far. This album's gonna take some time to digest, and on a first impression I agree that it's not as cohesive as his other albums. But I think it'll grow on me.

My take on the album after the first listen: I think this is a gospel in the sense that it shows how Kanye thinks he's drifted away from Christianity. The album starts out really gospel and you see that sort of go away as the album progresses. Also, on the cover it says "which one" while showing a picture of his family and another of Kim K's ass. I think it's about his shift from God to fame. Just my take though. Fantastic album.
Also, the line about Bill Cosby in Facts - HAHAHAHAHAAAAHAHA
The last 3 tracks are making me want more
yea... Fade is the jam. Makes me wanna dance and move.
I'm very impressed on first listen. I normally don't like albums much on first time through, but I'm digging this one. I think sometimes the auto-tune is a bit much, but overall I'm really happy. This will be getting played like crazy for the foreseeable future.

One more qualm - every song is very good, but it doesn't feel like a cohesive album. Feels like a collection of dope songs. But so did CD and LR. The biggest issue is the tone/topic shifts? It jumps around sounds and jumps around subject matter. A few things are brilliant like FML -> Real Friends -> Wolves, but then everything after Silver Surfer just seems like it was tacked on the end (all great songs but they don't flow well).
I feel like I'm listening to a greatest hits of Kanye but it's eighteen new songs. So many songs take me back to his older material, in a way that I think people were expecting Yeezus to. It's gonna be tough for anyone to beat this album in 2016.
