Fuck ciccarelli
Dino Ciccerell, still the 2nd greatest hockey name ever, Number 1 belongs to Pat Lafontaine.
I loved Dino Ciccarelli. Until I found out he violated a 17-year old girl. Allegedly.
Edit: I quoted the wrong post, but you get the idea.
didnt he slash a guy in the head too?
Yeah went after a Maple Leaf hard, got convicted and spent a whole day in jail. Also pled guilty to indecent exposure. Was actually glad to see him shipped off to Detroit.
Edit: the video you posted is the one I'm thinking about.

Secord of the hawks slashed Dino in the head as well. Him and stu grimson were fucking nuts
Ron Hextall used to pull shit that would nowadays get you 6 years on a felony. That's when men were men. This talk makes me wanna crack out my VHS copy of Don Cherry's Rock'Em Sock'em Hockey 4.
Oh, and to anyone shocked by the Ducks vs Flames score... Don't be. I don't expect the rest of the games to look like this, and I expect the flames to win one at home, but yeah, Ducks are just that good.
I was hoping id get put in the pit facing all the TVs so I could glance up in between hands or when my table was dead only got to watch a total of maybe 8 minutes during breaks cuz of course it's intermission when I go on break. Happy for the win thougg
Ahhhhh yeah, that lightning game shouldn't have ever gone to over time
why? Because the Habs outplayed Tampa for the majority of the game? I agree, and so do the stats...
Or are you referring to the weak goal Bishop let in. Sure he had it with his glove, but look at who was shooting the puck, Patches has one hell of a hard writer.
That disallowed goal in OT looked like a good one at first, but by pushing Prices right pad in, it made him lose balance, otherwise he would have covered that puck. A goal is a goal, and I'm not one to blindly argue a disallowed goal just because it was against my team. But that was the right call. That said, I'm a little happy Kucherov got the winner. Now I won't have to hear all the "Oh that should have counted" and "Refs have Habs tatoo's" and all that, if the Habs had of won the game.
P.s- before anyone looks at those giveaway numbers, you need to know that giveaways, as a stat, is not an accurate indication of how a team handles the puck. If anything, the more you have the puck and are making efforts to create scoring chances, the more you're giveaways are going to go up. Turnovers are a better indication of poor choices and bad plays, but still not very accurate as an indicating stat either, unless they cut it down to straight up "passing to the wrong team". I don't feel giving negative stars to teams or players for getting hit and losing possession is worth a whole lot. It's just part of the game.
Anyway. There's a pointless morning rant for ya'll. enjoy.

Definitely not a pointless rant. This is important. Also, I believe corsi should be emphasized more. +/- is used way to often to judge whether a player is shit or not

advanced stats are the way of the future. plus minus is still ok, but needs to be accompanied by stats showing how the player is matched up against. If a guy is say a +2, but is out there against teams top scotlring lines, he should be held in higher regard than a guy with a +15, playing against 3rd and 4th line opponents. This is why Max Pacoretty leading the league in plus minus is still very relivant
