Sleater Kinney and Washed Out are definitely front-runners (and what my mind jumped to when I saw the pic)
But, the second connection my brain made was to Matt Groening - the TV kind-of-sort-of resembles the Simpson's TV, Matt is from Portland, and has connections to a lot of bands. He's a member of the Rock Bottom Remainders and has curated an ATP Fest.
I still think SK and WO are better answers, but playing devil's advocate, I could see some act with a connection to Matt being a dark horse.

Bouncing off this, Joanna Newsom was in Matt's ATP Fest, she also guest-starred on Portlandia, and is married to television star Andy Samberg.
So you're a liar by your own admission...and you expect us to believe you when you say you're NOT an AC/Superfly intern? Good job.

Don't worry, these dumbasses are always accusing someone of being someone else. Last year everyone was accusing me of being Bonnaroo Chris because I said he was a pretty cool guy. Not the smartest bunch around here. Especially Juggs.
Also, a thought: do we think the colors matter, or are they just keeping roughly in line with the 2013 color scheme?
I don't think they'd default to the same color scheme as last year without a reason... maybe a returning band/person? Like, someone who played in some incarnation last year? Just a thought.

No, last year the clues were delivered in the design style of 'Roo 2012. The new design schemes are rolled out after 'Roo Clues.

Let's stop acting like it has to be anybody. There are at least 3 bands that fit perfectly well. Without some further hints there is no obvious way to narrow it down.

After listening to the radio clue, it can't be Portlandia. I don't think Washed Out makes much sense, there is absolutely no direct reference to the band name, the tv screen isn't washed out, the antennae doesn't look like a W, the dude is from Georgia. Yes they play the theme song, but lots of other songs have appeared on the show too. Hell, I associate Eddie Vedder with Portlandia more than Washed Out.

Portlandia is too obvious. I think the picture has to be broken up into multiple parts and each part is a clue, kind of like the three different lines from last year. Like the TV means something, the broken antenna means something, and Portland means something else.
A TV showing Portland being the clue for the band that does songs on Portlandia seems too easy to me

Sleater Kinney reunion, get excited.
Is there a recording of the radio portion somewhere?
Sleater-Kinney? A feminist punk/indie rock band from the mid-90s with mediocre-at-best album sales throughout their career, and have been on hiatus for 7 years until last September where they had a one-off song on stage with Pearl Jam (albeit in Portland)?
C'mon guys, it's the up-and-coming hipster dreampop act. Bonnaroo loves its up-and-coming hipster dreampop acts (Purity Ring, Beach House, etc.).

My thoughts:
The map is showing us Portland, and the TV (to indicate the TV show) is to draw us to Portlandia. Now notice that only one of the two antennas are broken, which I read as only one of the two hosts (Brownstein or Armisen) will be there. If it's a band (per Radio Roo), Sleater-kinney seems logical. Unless Armisen is playing with a band which would be pretty misleading. Given this logic, Im calling Sleater-Kinney reunion for Roo.
Edit to include the remote possibility that this is Wild Flag, Brownstein's last music project that doesnt appear to be continuing. Sleater-kinney still seems the most probable.

Super cool that you don't like them, (fuck feminism, amirite??) but they have cult status and would be a good get for Bonnaroo.
To be honest, I've never heard of them until this thread. All the info I got was from Wikipedia (which calls them a punk/indie band with feminist/left leanings, whatever that means).

it's a "worn out" tv hence the broken antenna, is no one else seeing this?
Yeah I'm convinced it's hockey. They're from Portland, released an album last year. Their last album was "Wyreth is" and the clue fits it well. "These were made in the shade" can refer to Andrew Wyreth, the painter, who was famous for painting outdoor scenery. And the hockey, "win the cup" connection is pretty self-explanatory
